What is your opinion of Reverse Holo TCG cards?

In my opinion as a Collector i think there a waste of Paper and Plastic Pages (Ultra pro ones are not cheap) and reduce the odds of pulling the cards you really want from a Booster pack. Only time they ever looked really awesome was during the Ex Series.

I might have to disagree with you on this one. I love reverse holos, in my opinion, they look awesome. I love the feeling of getting a good reverse holo in a pack. Of course, that is just my opinon.

yes but a reverse holo is just all the area around the picture holo'ed and the Pokemon Picture left unholo'ed :-/

Id rather get a Normal holo card instead..

The-Kaiser, I agree with you. They are just a gimmick to sell more cards. Depending on the foil, it is hard to pull scratch-free ones out of a pack. Scratch-free ones are what collectors want.

I've never noticed mine with scratch cept where the holo pattern was reapeated in a weird way.

If you hold one obliquely to the light you can see fine scratches.

Reverse Holos are what awesome is made of. Given they are just a way for people to spend more money, they look totally awesome and give hard core collectors more things to collect. Also reverse holo make you look VERY fancy, believe it or not you can play small (very small) mind games on people. If you were in a tournament and someone pulled out an all reverse holo Luxchomp on you, you would be able to tell that they are devoted to the game and collecting the cards, therefore they seem experienced. It could make a beginning player more nervous (like I said very small mind game, to the point where you couldn't notice it).

hmmmm never thought of it like that before...

Thats prolly the only logical reson i can see for them to exist actually

I just reversed my deck, and now I look professional, lol. Yeah, they are a bit of a gimmick, but so is everything. Like paying extra for HD channels on TV or additional in-game options on Xbox.

I hate RH Holos. I like all of my cards to be 100% mint and if they're not then I don't trade for something. The thing I hate the most is when I am trying to trade for RH cards (or any cards in particular) and they aren't mint. :/

i personally love Reverse holo's. I really like the fact that all the print is shiny.

i like them they spice up boring normal basic common cards and make your deck look awesome.

And like someone said before i kinda does make your deck look more pro and fancy, when i see someone with a deck with tons of RH commons and trainers it makes me think their devoted and spent their money (or traded) for these RH cards for a reason because they knew they were useful.

and plus shiny things are pretty.

RH cards is indeed a gimmick, and just there to provide more cash for The Pokemon Company.

But that doesn't mean that they're not cool or collectable. RH stuff is like a whole new world; it's a parallel universe to the ordinary cards in a set. And pulling a good RH is a good feeling; it's like pulling a LV.X (with the exception of Lux X, Uxie X, Dialga G X).

Rev-Holo = Epic-Awesomeness! I love them, Ya they might be a Gimmick, but I've loved them ever since the day I saw a guy at my league play a deck with all Rev-Holo cards, I mean ALL of them!!!

I don't really like RH. I like the shiny that they use in regular holo cards, Lv X and Primes, but the RH just looks weird.

Plus, I feel like today's metagame is somewhat fickle, so making your whole deck RH, just for it to change so soon is silly.
