Personally, I don't think there should or will be any new Regis.
That would ruin the Regi trio (Regigigas isn't necessarily a part of it).

I'd say Dark, as then all of them would be weak to Fighting type moves.

Dark is also weak to fighting, just like the other 4 regis...
But I doubt there'd make a new regi, although I wouldn't put it past Game Freak nowadays.

Instead of regis there would be a new trio of legdends. in every region theres a trio? The three birds in 1st gen , the three dogs in 2nd gen , the three regis in 3rd gen , and the three mystical lake things xD (mesprit,azelf&uxie.) in 4th gen. i hant got the slightest idea for 5th gen though. xD

I can only echo the majority of other people here. They're a trio based on 3 natural "ages" - made entirely of the element they represent. Regigigas is just the cheesey "king" of them.
Dark wouldn't be a possibility, there's no natural physical manifestation for "cheap and unfair battle moves and tactics" Unless GameFreak are badly clutching at straws this gen (which granted, may be the case looking at that abominable spikey blocky quadraped...freak)!
If they were to make another Regi, the only logical type to use would be Ground - but again, I think / hope the Regi family will be left alone now.
