^ Off topic but, you have to put the eggs in your sig.
On topic: Proffesor butterfly, Araragi means butterfly so...

Araragi relates to a species of butterfly so something close to the word butterfly

If it does mean butterfly then they would break the tradition of caling Proffesers by trees

araragi is a type of butterfly and the japanese name for the yew tree which is why her name will be prof yew

How about Professor Silktree

Silk: kinda feminine – silk dresses etc, caterpillars spin silk for their cocoons/chrysalises, linking to the butterfly.
Tree: connects it to the previous professor names.

Also the name has already been mentioned in HG and SS but hasn’t been given to a proper pokemon professor yet.

The first thing I thought of was Professor Yew. It seems to fit her, as long as her first name isn't Calisto.

(Hopefully someone will get the reference.)

Her name Araragi is a Japanese Yew, which is a tree (for what I know). Her name will most likely be Proffessor Yew. People can't call it too short, cause Oak and Elm's name was also short XD

I always read Jew when I see the word Yew... I've never heard it spoken, how do you pronounce it? Like "You"?

Maybe the female professors will be named after butterflies? We know the males are named after trees, but seeing as this is the first female, she might just be called Araragi in English too. (It's the Latin name for a genus of Butterflies. Used in the English language as well.)

coconut? yew? i have to go with Yew for all the things in the world (for her name), what about her assistant? she'll probably get a tree name as well. but no. anything else for names? Yew will be the winner and leading by an avalanche.
