What Will the Next PikaClone Be Like?

Every generation has at least one Pokemon that looks a lot like Pikachu, and this phanomenum has been called by many as "PikaClone". Gen 3 has Minun and Plusle, Gen 4 has Pachirisu, Gen 5 has Emolga, Gen 6 has Dedenne and Gen 2 is the one that has Pichu and Marill, which are quite different from the others, as Pichu is Pikachu's pre evolution, and Marill is only slightly similar to Pikachu (which I like, as it is still unique). Do you think Gen 7 is going to be the same? Do you like this idea, or maybe you wish GF would stop that? What is the ideal PikaClone for you?
 
I'm fine with Pikaclones, as long as they show some variety in the design. I think Dedenne looked a bit like Raichu, not that I have a problem with that, but "clones" like Marill, Emolga and Pachirisu, I feel are the most unique of the bunch, since their designs and colours are quite different from the rest, which is what I want a "clone" to be. I think the ideal candidate for a Pikaclone would be a quokka! They are adorable and known for their "smiles," and I think it would make a cute Electric/Normal Pikaclone :3
 
I just want them to do the same thing they did with Marill, and make a PikaClone that is not an Electric type. Fire Pikaclone seems nice, since it can be found around the volcano in the region. A Dark type Pikaclone could be even better, and might be cool to fill the role of the " AntiPikachu" Pokemon.

A Dark type Pikaclone would definitely be interesting! Perhaps having it based of a raccoon or something similar?
 
Well, it looks like GF didn't give us much time to speculate about the next PikaClone. I must say that I really like what they did. Although they still made it an Electric type, the Spikey design with the Steel type is very interesting. Perhaps is can learn spikes ?
 
I have 2 issues with the "pika clones":
1. Electric type. We desperately need more "Marill" kind of pika-clones. One time a Fire one, or perhaps Ice...maybe a Psy or Dark one etc.. or heck, make them 3 different types and release them in the same gen.
2. theys don't evolve. I still remember how excited I was upon Pachirisus reveal back in those times. I was deadsure that its final evolution would become my favourite Pokemon for a long time. Except, it turned out, there is no evolution -.- And since then, they've just continued adding moe of them, never evolving them and that makes me sad. At least there is Raichu, but even in that case, they seem to rather pretend it doesn't exist and further put Pikachu in every spotlight imaginable.

And then to add insult to injury the very next gen they made another Pikaclone that was a flying squirrel, which would've been an excellent basis for an evolution of Pachirisu.
 
I think we can count Mimikkyu as a Pikaclone as well, in fact you could say it's even more of a Pikaclone since it's specifically trying to look like Pikachu. But yeah, I really like the concept behind it, it's so meta and unique. Definitely better than some of the more conventional Pikaclones which are basically just random rodents with Electric slapped on.

Sort of; Pikachu was obviously the inspiration behind Mimikkyu. I would consider it to be a Pika-clone. We haven't had two "Pika-clones" in a Generation since Gen III with Plusle and Minun. And the reason why we had two in Gen III was to showcase the then newly-released form of battling called Double Battles.

It'll be weird to see a Pika-clone that isn't Electric-typed, or part Electric.

Many consider Marill to be a Pikaclone as well. It did have the nick "Pikablue" attached to it for a long time after its introduction.
This might be a similar case of an arguable Pikaclone. Nevertheless, I prefer this "type" of Pikaclones over the more traditional ones.
I do wonder how does this Pokemon feel about Pikachu.. I mean, does it admire Pikachu, or does it hate Pikachu, and envy him? I hope it is the second option.
