Ruling What would the penalty be for bad sleeves at nationals?

I have sleeves that were good/acceptable at cities and are still in good shape. However, if throughout nats play if I get randomly deck checked and 1 or more sleeves are Bad, would I just get a warning and have to resleeve? Or will it be a more severe penalty since it's a large event? I really would prefer not to have to buy sleeves, so I'll probably be using these sleeves.

According to the OP Penalty Guidelines, what you described is most likely an example of Marked Cards [Minor]. (Look at section 7.2.) In that case, you would receive a Warning and need to re-sleeve (as Nationals is considered a Tier 2 event). At lower tournaments, you'd receive a Caution instead.

If you're really concerned about it you can use a whole new pack of sleeves. I generally use sleeves myself that are equally worn throughout (due to lots of use), but if you feel like it might be a problem, switch to other sleeves.
