I suggest you read this to know why kingdra is so deadly.

It's an amazing card. You can do 60 damage and snipe for 20 damage for just 1 energy. And you have unlimited possiblities with Aqua Stream.

Kingdra is a good combo , but not as good as it sounds.

Thunder just kills it , and no bubble coat can't help.

We will see how it does at BRs , I guess.

But it is totally way too over-hyped.

Kingdra is a great card, but I doubt many people will play it right with the right list.

Kingdra eh? Pros: Deadly fast with a 60-20 snipe for one energy, Decent 130 hp, Fast retreat, Completely abuses the energy discarding, Aqua Stream brings excellent last resort for 80+ damage. Cons: can be OHKO by several different lighting pokemon, stands little chance against the massive hp water-proof grass pokemon like Leafeon, Several people poorly play this card.

kindra +bubble caot attached to it+being attacked by vire x=MISPLAY and advantage

=> one more chance of snipe => 2HKO

Fall BRs = Kingdra winning some , and other decks winning some
cities = lightling ruling
etc

Kingdra can't stand up to electivire/magezone.

Auto-Zone doesn't stand a chance against AMU, and it can beat Kingdra but has to set-up fast. Kingdra is a T2 deck so it will be hard.

People obviously don't get this game or don't pay attention to released cards, or else they would see that kingdra isn't that great and has only a 1 turn advantage over most decks.

Ok Papi/Manny, you say that but don't say what is good (I already know but for the sake of others.)

Kingdra is a good card and if you can get enough set-up, you don't have to worry about mid-late game.

Kingdra was a good idea until other ideas came around, contrary to the popular, once Auto Zone gets set up, it rocks Kingdra all over the place just because of lockdown and Vire X. Its just the slow setup that gives Kingdra the advantage, but then again, Metanite also had a slow setup, and look how well it did. Mr. Mime in Auto Zone will keep Kingdra from doing anything while you get that setup down. Mr. Mime in general will just stop it.

Kingdra has too much to worry about, especially with AMU running rampant, as well as Scorpio, Turncruel, and other such decks. Its a hype, and utterly, I and many other players are plain out sick of the hype. Play the deck against other solid decks and you'll see exactly why its not impressive.

"...AMU dishes out 2HKOes for 2 energy and outspeeds kingdra (don't even bother saying otherwise. I think you already know frosglass, another counter and bcif, outspeeds kingdra on a constant bases.). Lanturn and cruel both takes 1/0 energy to do great attacks. Gliscor takes 2 energy (stark mountain=no worries about energy shortage) and runs mime. Magnezone, while taking 3 energy, has both metal reduction and the ablity to come out of nowhere and drop a fresh magnezone and swing for 100+with 2+ special metal. Blissey, while meh, has a very cheap attack and combos with energy switch quite nicely to power up those big attackers (cresslia, gallade, ect.). Gallade isn't going away, and a wager+gardy lock can really cause problems for an unprepared kingdra deck. Bellosome and beedrill are both sicker swarming cards then kingdra and take 1-2 energy each to do 30-100+ (with bell having a chance for burn as well). Lucario decks are going to still be around (40-20 is such a powerful attack, and the 20 snipe is the only reason why its getting this kind of looking at in the first place), with level X spamming (though gliscor is much better). Empoleon isn't going away just yet, and the spreading can cause problems (though I will admit that it needs some kind of energy controll/ssu help). Torterra/sceppy is going to be HUGELY played next season, even without shaymin. Rhyperior, while weak to you, can go toe-to-toe with kingdra and with a good enough list, can easily win the matchup (OHKO for 0 energy...yum). t2 decks are still going to be played, such as kricket, bannette, and the new swalot, though people will quickly toss them for slightly slower but great overall damagers over the course of a match (same deal with kingdra, really). Garchomp will be a deck that has endless OHKO chances (and the level X to boot). With garchomp, I see dragonite being played as a tech, giving garchomp chanses to pick up the match in a matter of a few turns with a few select heads. Weevile, Eggs, delcatty, rotom, and togekiss are all valid energy excelerators, most of which can be tossed into any deck. Leafeon gives all eeveelutions and any stage 1 line the option to use heavey priced attacks (and also gives magmortar a very good chance of seeing play next season). Heck, I can see blasty being played in a few decks, though, again, will most likely be ditched part-way through BRs for faster and more consistant excelerators. Luxray is a good stage 2 that can swarm easily and plasma with ssu/other damage healers to make it a wall-energy adavantage deck. Moltres, while a bad answer to kingdra, is a very broken card (even in this format) and will see a surge in play in some decks with the decline of plox. Infernape can constantly draw a prize every other turn with the aid of rotom (or draw 2-3 prizes in a row if it stays active with the right engine), though it seems fragile against kingdra. Blazeiken is beastily with typhlosion and can win the kingdra matchup if played right. Electrode can auto-draw 2-4 prizes by itself and power up a pokemon to sweep the last 2. With the decline in dusknoir tech, I expect a return (or rather, start) of posion decks with weezing, particularly nidoking, who gets around both mime and claydol. Donphan/other switchers combo nicely with mr. mime (again). With snowpoint around, I expect to see a few 80 hp swarming dark birdies around as well. And of course, we have previously overhyped-underachieving feraligatr in a format with very little power locking. Gyrados and mothim are t2 cards that actually have great potential. I think I pretty much covered the majority of 2 energy or less attackers or 3+ with energy excel/other resources, 95% of them are playable next format and at least 80% of them can easily have a good kingdra matchup with the correct build."
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

kingdras fast and has great synergy with itself
the list i hard to get for a good one if i had 1 i wouldnt leak but im working on it
amu is a threat to me auto zone not so much
gardallade is under estimated to me i believe it can still be playable w/o dre

GG will still be around, but won't be as big of a threat.
Papi, where did you get that quote from? It's so true.
Honestly, people think that they will have infinite kingdras. How is it possible to always have rare candy, horsea, kingdra, and an energy in hand whenever kingdra gets knocked out, all the time? Also, it's not like claydol guarantees energy. You can easily draw absolute crap with claydol and be watered down to a simple 40 to the active attack if you can't discard 2. The deck isn't THAT good. AMU, Magnezone, GG, Blaziken...SO many things are going to see play. NO deck will be perfect. I stand by AMU but I know that it has some weaknesses. I'm not going to parade around like Lou Cypher and go "LOLOL KINGDRA > THIS DECK CUZ I CAN HAS SNIPZ!!1 I DO SOOO MUHC DMG LOLOL KINGDRA > EVERYTHING I LOVE KINGDRA LOLOLOLOL." Kingdra is good, but is EXTREMELY overhyped.

WIth kingdra it is always: Need a good setup....depends on the setup....you must go 2nd....so it sucks late game right? 60 late game? Not that great!
