BW/BW2 When you first heard B/W coming out.....

Well, I'll admit that I originally thought the new games would be released on the 3DS and none of the current platforms, and I was expecting it to surpass D/P/Pt/HG/SS in terms of quality (which it already has), but I wasn't expecting the games to be revolutionary (a very nice, pleasant surprise for me 
). I was anxious to see what the new pokemon would look like (still curious, but not as worried as I was before, what with the 'pokemon-designs-are-getting-worse' rants). So yeah, my initial thoughts summed up in a paragraph.

I randomly went on a Pokémon site when I was at school "working" on my laptop. When I saw the two logos on the screen, my mind was blown away. The news totally made my day and I couldn't think of anything else while I was at school.
I started speculating in my head. How will the starters be like? What about the mascots? How will they improve the graphics if it's on the same console? I'm not sure what I expected, but I think I was picturing more polished and detailed DPP graphics. I got a pleasant surprise when I found out I was wrong.

I really thought it was going to be in the same region again, but it didn't, my friend told me about it and i went home and looked it up, then it brought me here. Then i joined. But i really was happy about the mascots, not sure about the starters, out of them 3, i would choose the Grass starter.

Well first I saw Zoarua and Zoaroak (however they're spelled) and I thought they looked good. But since Gen 4 let me down so bad in terms of Pokemon designs, I had very low expectations and I assumed it would be yet another horrible cutesy petting zoo sim, so I just forgot about it.
Then I saw the starters, which did nothing to change my opinion. Sure, I loved Tsutaja since it was a reptile, but this was now the 3rd gen in a row the where only starter I like ended up being the grass type, and that annoys me, since I don't like using grass types. So again I just put it out of my mind.
I then saw Reshirom and Zekrom. More decent Gen 5 designs! Much better then Dialga and Palkia, in fact. My hope grew just a tiny bit.
Then I saw Gear and Meguroko, and my hope suddenly shot up! Those 2 designs were so great, and it was looking more like I'd buy it, but I still had to see more...
Enter Desukan, Denchura, Rankurusu, Gochiruzeru, Ononokuso, Doryuzuu, and Gigiasu in screenshots, and it now became an INSTANT BUY. Right there I saw enough cool designs that were infinitely better then most of what Gen 4 had to offer, and enough good designs of varying types to make a team! In fact, I am having a hard time deciding exactly what my team will be based on the known pre-release monsters alone, and there's still so much more to come! Seeing Wooguru and Swana also added to my interest, and I now have a hard time choosing a flying type!
Then the fact that it's 5th gen only until the National Dex sealed the deal, and wild double battles was the icing on the cake!

They meant what your first thought would be on the game when you first heard the news of it.
Anyways, I was expecting awful new Pokemon, only slightly improved graphics, and the same old-same old.

When I first saw Zorua and Zoroark, I went WOW!!! then other pokemon shot up out of the blue,then almost every kid in the countryside knew about it (well every person that liked pokemon...) so... ya I almost exploded

I actually thought it would be a bigger version of Sinnoh, with updated sprites and updated scenery ect. I didn't expect such a big change. I knew from the beggining that they were going to be huge. I just knew it!
I remember when I first discovered the games. I had just bought HG/SS after seeing it in GAME. Then I remembered PokeBeach and Serebii... and visited Serebii for a day, then the next day the movie details and that was revealed. Ive been on both sites everyday from then.

i looked up the starters and fell in love with tustaaja and hated the derpy clownosed otter. zekrom became my favorite legendary of all time, and i wanted to own a zoroark ASAP!

When I FIRST heard the names would be Black and White, I thought the graphics would be Black and White, literally like the first games. That was probably a dumb assumption however. XD

I thought about what a strange name it title it "Black and White", thought it would probably be some stupid issue in america but glad its not.
I thought they were finally running out of names, Then i was excited and wanted to see the new pokemon and wondered if it was gonna be in 3DS.
funny how i think of the worst first, guess im cynic hahahaha.

I actually laughed when I saw the titles because not long before the announcement I was talking to a friend about the 5th generation, and what the games should be called. Black and White was one of my guesses. I wasn't serious though, but it turned out to happen so I'm not complaining lol.

Well, when I first heard about it,I was so excited back then! (And I always screamed like a little girl with BW News >_>) Well,Im still excited for Black and White,but I don't scream like a little girl anymore.I really wanted to get the game in my hands.When I saw Zorua and Zoroark I was impressed.I said to myself:"This Gen will be pure win!" When I saw the starters,I was even more excited,but I hated Mijumaru back then.
