where can i find energy??

ok....im new at the TCG, and i understand having to buy the packs of cards to build my deck.....but what do i have to buy to get energy cards?

i bought a few booster pacs and realized that there were no energy cards in there, which are mainly what i need....

do i need to buy the larger expansion sets??

Buy one of the starter decks. They come with around 20 energy. The full list of what is in the theme deck is printed on the back of the deck. You might be able to find some on ebay as well.~Mark

Unfortunately, energy cards don't come in booster packs. So yeah... you'll have to look for a few theme decks that have the energy cards you need. Every deck has the types of energy it contains listed on the box.
 
There are some sites online where you can buy them in bulk, iirc. It saves the trouble of dropping so much cash on a cruddy theme deck.

does anybody have any good sites they can recommend for the purchase of reasonably cheap energy cards? i am a student on a budget afterall lol.

I'm pretty sure that if you go to a league that people will be nice and give you energy for free depending on the types because metal and dark are worth more, but the rest are literally pennies for many of them.
 
Buy the Overflow theme deck if you want Psychic and Water energy. It comes with 2 Roseanne's Research so it's actually not a rip off, those sell for 5 something a piece and you need them for any sort of competitive deck.
