Where to buy in USA?

RE: Buying individual packs online

Collectors Cache is reputable. I have purchased from there before and know the owners. Blisters can be weighed. I see guys come into league all the time with 5packs and pull 2-5 Ultra Rares every time. I would stay away from Walmart and whatnot unless they are freshly stocked. Troll and Toad is fairly reputable with packs IMO. Just be careful when buying online. For example I bought 18 Plasma Packs right in the middle of states and had great pulls. They were obviously someones prize packs. Little things like the amount of packs a seller is trying to sell (24 should set off big red flags as box rates are about 12 holos per box) can really help you judge whether or not its safe to buy packs. Also i'm sure there are a few verified sellers here on Beach that sell packs that are untampered as well.

RE: Buying individual packs online

I have bought packs online and got decent pulls, I bought 5 packs recently online 4 HS Undaunted and 1 DEX. I pulled 2 holo's and a Prime, safe to say they weren't weighed. Pokemon isn't as popular in the UK, and we have a nice thing where all the packs are ALWAYS behind the counter so you couldn't possibly weigh them. Some are in blisters but we don't have blisters with one pack in only multiple blisters. It isn't as popular in the UK, as it is in the US but I believe it's better this way. Toy's R Us used to have them on the side in the shop same as everywhere else, they used their brains that people were stealing packs. I do have some speculation over the Tins though, the 2013 tins and the late 2012 tins I am weary about. Me and my friend together bought 5 2013 tins and 6 2012 tins and pulled 1 holo.

RE: Buying individual packs online

Throughout my years of playing this game since it came out, and testing weighing packs.
I have never come to conclusive results on pack weights. And I am not the only person I know to have tried testing this.
On a variety of digital scales. It's impossible to weigh packs and get results that would give you better pull rates.
Don't buy into this pack weighing hype. It's BS.

RE: Buying individual packs online

To be honest, I have seen people weigh packs and get good pulls. For instance if they buy a box, a lot of people open the packs with a higher weight and pull ultra's and holo's and sometimes nothing. Then sell the rest, hence why it happens a lot.

RE: Best place to buy Booster Boxes?

Where is the best place in the UK, I don't want American stores that ship to the UK. I don't have paypal, nor will I have it for sometime. I use debit card, so any ?

Do troll and toad ship to europe (U.K)
And are the booster boxes relatively good value from there?

thanks in advance

Troll and toad ship to the UK, I have used them a couple of times before, just be very wary of customs, I imported a shiny collection box from amiami and as I'm impatient had it shipped via EMS, got hit for £5 VAT plus £13 to royal mail for them paying the charges for me.... yeah work that one out! Thing is I only paid something like £12 for the box.

I have never had a problem with chaoscards. But there's also ebay, amazon, cardteam and psi-soft although I've never personally used the last two.

RE: Best place to buy Booster Boxes?

Okay, yeah can't use eBay as no PayPal, but Chaoscards seem the best bet. I've bought binders, sleeves and deckboxes from them good prices and fast shipping. Amazon is alright, just don't have much new stuff.

Yeah amazon is a bit hit and miss, although you can pickup a few bargins if you're patient enough to look through alot of listings, plus they don't pay any tax in the UK so that puts me off of them as well :)

You must be doing it wrong. I can 100% confirm that weighing packs works for both blisters (I tested this the other day at Walmart, bought all 10 blisters left in stock, 4 heaviest had EX's in them) and especially for normal packs. I can post a video to prove it by buying a few more blisters from Walmart when they get some packs in. I don't encourage going out and weighing blisters but we all know it happens, and it always will.

Oh it happens in your country. I bought 10 Team Rocket Returns packs from a UK company on Ebay and pulled 10 reverse holos. It happens EVERYWHERE.

then please prove it.
because i've been doing it since the tcg came out, and I've used quite a few different digital scales. no conclusive results. I've got plenty of experience weighing things lol....

RE: Buying Individual Packs Online

My two cents on pack weighing-

Ever since I started playing again, I have used the same digital scale to weigh my packs (its pretty low key, an old marijuana scale that my friend didnt need anymore). It seems with every set, there is a "magic" weight that yields holos or better... which means a holo or an EX. When it comes to Ace Specs and FAs the results seem to vary. Dark Explorers FAs were in my "holo" range for Next Destinies, while Dragons Exalted the FAs weighed even less than the holos, but more than the rares. Either way, you can definitely tell whether you will pull a holo or not, just by weighing it at the very least, with a cheap .01 gram scale.

AND YES this works for both loose packs AND SINGLE blisters. Not multiple blisters though, unless your scale is big enough.

Please refrain from discussing on how to weigh. Links to weighing videos are not allowed.

RE: Buying Individual Packs Online

I feel someone at my 3 closest walmarts, and 2 kmarts weighs blisters. I only buy now if it looks like they were very recently stocked. I also had bought 2 booster boxes from a guy I will not buy from anymore because I think he weighs boxes. If you add the weight of tin/box or blister cards, it does make it hard to do it BUT I feel it is still very possible because Tins with FA or blisters with FA will weigh more. Also a box with 3 UR (say 2 ex and 1 fa) will weigh less then a box with 6-8 UR including multiple FA. I am very careful where I buy from these days. Collectors cache is great, Troll and toad---I have had friends get nothing from like 10 packs and I do think it is because they buy from people who weighed the packs.

RE: Buying Individual Packs Online

Let''s just conclude that if you aren't pulling anything good at the place you buy packs then their is some funny business going on, nuff said.

RE: Best place to buy Booster Boxes?

Most comic book stores and(or)online stores sells booster boxes less for what the actual price is on first week of the release date. Magic, pokemon, yugioh, ect. I pay About 117$ including tax,per pokemon box.And 95$ including tax on the first week of the release date.
You can save up to 20 bucks.

If you are trying to buy pokemon booster boxes, get NVI before they stop producing them. Soon,,,real soon! like,by the end of this summer soon.

Online it does, yeah but not in stores lol.

RE: Buying Individual Packs Online

weighing boosters has been around for years the problem with loose packs is every man and his dog will go in and buy single booster packs so the pull rate is going to be either great or not so good.
in the end the cheapest way is to buy booster boxes.
