They really should bring Misty back as a main character. It's obvious that most (if not all) people want to see her return to the show.
But it wont happen. :(
They'll continue to use the new girl from the regions and odds are, she'll be just starting her journey like May and Dawn. And she'll do contests.

I'd really like Misty to come back. And if not her, someone who's like her.
 
I don't really get why people want Misty back so much. She was awesome the first two seasons, but when they went to Johto I thought she got boring.
However... if they brought her back and she did contests, then she would probably be more fun again. :) But, we all know that'll never happen.
 
That's a really good idea. :)
I'd love to see her do contests. (She'd do a lot better than Dawn in my opinion.)
 
She probably would do a lot better then Dawn. Dawn just became a Pokemon Trainer, and Misty has been one for years. She could probably learn how to do contests pretty quickly and with her strong Pokemon (not including Psyduck :p ) she could win a lot.
 
If she ever did come back, I wonder which pokemon she'd take with her on her journey?

Hope it's Gyarados!! ;)

And yeah, she could do much better than Dawn, (especially with gyrados, but she's not likely to take that with her). She'd easily beat Dawn in a battle too.
 
Gyarados is awesome! But she probably wouldn't take it since she's scared of them.
If she were to come back and do contests, I think she'd bring: Azurill (Which she seems to be the new Togepi!), and Psyduck (she has to bring that crazy Pokemon! It's so funny!). She'd leave the rest behind and catch new ones in the new land.

I think misty was annoying but in the normal anime as in non-dubbed she wasn't so she would make an alright appearance in the subbed anime

I think both the male and female Pokémon trainers of the 5th gen should join Ash (with the male trainer temporarily replacing Brock, like Tracey). Ash would try to do Gyms, the girl would do Contests, and the new boy would be trying to fill his Pokédex by catching as many Pokémon as possible (occasionally trying a Gym or contest).

They'll likely temporarily scrap Brock but as in most cases he'll be brought back again in the future.

How Pokemon is making the girl more "appealiong", whatever the next girl may be, something will make people talk. Dawn had the short skirt, and May had a 14-year old body

I still think Dawn will stay, because I think the next region will be something like Orange Islands or the Battle Frontier...

I hope they get rid of brock but keep a little peice of his personality in the next boy if they do replace him. Alot of people like Brock but thats mostly only because of the way he acts. I think they should put in a new boy, like the male character for a change. Brocks voice is getting anoying whenever I watch it, and so is well... EVERYTHING ABOUT THE DUDE!! I agree with the, "the new male character would outshine Ash if he was doing gyms" statement, I think the new male should be a little like Brock, but you know... still a little different. I also hope that they make Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys look defferent, I mean, all cousins and sisters look and sound the same?! Its getting old, they need to do something new.

Hey I am a new memeber here; one of the reasons I joined was to discuss the anime! Starting here....

Anyway, I, for some reason have a strong feeling (you know, that feeling in your gut (or maybe I ate too much?)) that the next gen girl will be the daughter of her regions Professor (male/ female; hoping for female for once...), and that she wants to become like her parent. She gets a starter, a high-tech Pokedex (even more high-tech than the ones shown), and needs to analyze (not just scan) all of the regions Pokemon she can. Obviously, Ash is besides her, and most likely Brock (I am also hoping for a new male, maybe a Pokemon Ranger in training?), going trough what ever region they are in...

Or Misty comes and becomes the "new girl". XD

But, most likely neither will happen.... bummer. :(
