BW/BW2 Why Do People Dislike Generation 5?

Maybe because some people think some of the pokemon look like digimon, personally i love the new pokemon but i think the first batch like the crocodile and Muuna i absolutely hate.

I don't really hate it so far. I think they just looking for a New inspiration for a New gen. I don't really understand either why those fans giving a lot of complains to the New Pokemon (Especially Mijumaru). I actually like it though. If you Fans don't really like it, Then don't give a lot lot lot lot lot (I think that's enough) Complains. Don't like it, Then don't play it. Easy right?

I've loved all of the new Pokemon so far except for Munna(which its new evolution completely made up for) and Hihidaruma(which has that awesome new ability, so he could be a great battler). Some people do hate the fact that the newer Pokemon have almost a completely different style to the older Pokemon, but hey! We need some fresh ideas coming in.

People always complain when new stuff comes out. When Gen 4 was being revealed, everyone hated that too.

I'm hearing that alot of people don't like the new Generation 5 Pokemon, what is it about them that they don't like?

It's Nostalgia. Complete nostalgia.

A lot of people started with the first generation, and complain when something new happens. i.e., generations 2 3 4 and 5. Several people started with the second, myself included. They SHOULDN'T complain, because I feel like the second generation was probably the worst of all of them.

Me, I don't see what is so great about the first generation over all others other than the fact that it's the source of everything after. Okay... uh huh. There were a lot of designs in the first two generations that are way worse than what they've come up with so far, for sure.

Other than that, bored and stupid people are just sitting on the internet looking through a list of all of the digimon so that they can find a reason to hate this generation.

I can respect the first one, because it depends on where you started, but the second one is just irritating.

I've accepted every new Pokemon so far. I absolutely love all of them. I'm really going to have to catch 'em all. Well, maybe not, I know what happens when I try and do that, and it's not good :(

Well, i think it's because the pokémon's has lost a bit of their "animal-like" look, that many people do like. Today, the pokémon's looks more like creatures.
And in the new Black/White games, many people think that the game has been too advanced, with 3D, and the pokémons moving in the battle. It takes all the old charm from pokémon, i agree with that, but new things must also happens, if pokémon shall live many years.
I personally like the new pokémon's. I don't care so much if they don't looks like animals, creatures is really cool, i think:D And the new 3D graphic looks awesome, and now, it's easier to live in, in the game.

Maybe because they look like Digimon you have to REALLY LOOK FOR to find? I've played digimon, and I haven't even come across anything that even looks similar to the new Pokemon. People just want a reason to flame every new generation after the first.

Does ANYONE remember back when they were first revealing this stuff that they said "You guys won't think this is Pokemon"? I do, but I don't think anyone else does.

Maybe you're right about lost an Animal form thing you've said. But I guess that's the way it is. Pokemon is all about a Monster you can put in your Pocket with a Capsule like Balls. It doesn't really have to like Animals too, Cause they're Monsters. But still, I'll always Love Pokemon and won't forget about it to the end.

Because they're not used to it...
I'm sure people hated the 4th generation, too. But see? Everyone's used to it, already.
The ONLY thing I dislike about Generation 5 is the triple battles. X_x

^ Have you tried them? We have only seen about 11 SECONDS!!! of one, and we got some information about how more STRATEGY is involved. Don't competitive gamers LOVE strategy? It's funny how after only 11 seconds of just watching, you already don't like them.

(Sorry if that was harsh, it was mainly my response too everyone who keeps saying "I HATE TRIPLE BATTLES! THEY ARE GONNA BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG!"(not saying you've said that though))

I think triple battles will be interesting for some people, but I decided also that I don't really like them.

Now, it's just because I don't like double battles as it is. I enjoy single battles, and I have difficulties against other people in double battles.

And yeah, I agree. People are so obsessed with the animal looks that made the first generation partially interesting and the second generation dull, that they forgot what the point is.

It's a monster hunter game. You hunt monsters. You catch monsters. You use monsters to beat monsters. I feel like in the 3rd and 5th generations, they have done and are doing a good job representing that.

It's because Pokemon fans aren't used to change. Whenever a new generation comes out, it's critized for no reason. That's just the way it is.

I judge by appearance, soret.

Personally, I don't like the design style... I preferred the gen 4 style and I'm not that kind of people hated gen 4 but then got used to it... I liked gen 4 since it came out... The only pokémon I like from this gen are the ones that still have a gen 4 feeling like Zoroark, Tsutarja, Kibago and Minezumi, just examples... and sorry, but there're some Pokémon that are similar some Digimon species. I don't believe they did it purposly, it's probably because they're based on the same animal. for example, when I saw Wooguru, I immediatly thought of Hawkmon... Matter fact, there are some Digimon that I would like them to be Pokémon...
I also don't like when they start to do odd creatures instead of doin' animal-like ones...

I dislike the looks of a lot of the thus-far revealed Pokemon, but I do not hate the generation just because I don't like a handful (or three or four) of Pokemon. I'll just use ones I like, like I did/do with all of the 4th generation games. Plus there's still a lot of Pokemon to be revealed, so I'm keeping an open mind (I'm importing White when it comes out, so that shows how much I hate this gen.XD).

i didnnt like the new pokemon at first. they just looked to different but ive warmed up to them now. i do think that munna and its evolved form are.....terrable
