I have lately been thinking about this and I think it sucks that Ho-oh has been around since the gold and silver days and even in the first episode of the anime and still has not been in it's own movie I was just wondering what do you guys think the future of Ho-oh is and will Ash ever know why it's always appeared to him here and there in the anime on small occasions.

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

I don't think that it will since the Johto region will probably never be revisited in the anime. I guess Ho-oh's thing is that it randomly appears in the anime and it's kind of a track of Ash on his journies to make up for the fact that it never gt its own movie. Ho-oh really wasn't even popular enough to feature its own movie, Lugia was the star of the second generation.

Well, in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Mew transformed into Ho-oh. That's probably the closest Ho-oh is going to get to being in a movie.

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Deal with it. It's a Johto legend from many years ago, long reduced to a bit-player in the grand theatre of Pokémon. It's not going to get it's own feature now. Sorry.

Well Raikou, Entei and, Suicune are the legendary trio of Johto and yet they were still featured in the 13th movie as well as Celebi. Who would of ever thought of them being in a movie again after so many years excluding Raikou which made his debut in a Movie after so many people said it was unlikely that he would. Now lets go to your answer who would of thought that a simple question would bring so much animosity towards someone sorry I guess I won't ask anymore questions but as for you I think you should take a chill pill.

Then again I can ask as many questions as I want as long as they are validate. So I guess I take back what I said about not asking anymore questions. Deal with it.

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

It probably won't ever get it's own movie but I don't think we can entirely just say it won't. We aren't the creators or the writers so we can't say for a fact what Pokemon will ever get featured in a movie and which won't. Even if Ho-Oh never gets a movie I think it's okay because he was THE FIRST legendary to be seen in the show and I think seeing the Ho-Oh gave Ash a lot of inspiration. So whether it gets a movie or not doesn't matter because I think that Ho-Oh itself impacted the main character from the start. :)

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

What I think? Ho-oh is actually Ash's long lost father that somehow got turned into a Ho-oh. Yes I went there.

But seriously, Ho-oh and Ash does have some sort of connection and I think it would be foolish to just think it won't get it's own movie. We'll just have to wait and see.

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

I don't see why Ho-oh would not be in a movie since May and Max both are now in Johto as we speak. We could have a revisit in the future so that way Ash will be able to see them and be apart of Johto as it has been rebuilt since Ash has cvsited it. Since Sarah Nocheny took over Ash in thr 9th season technically ASH has not been in Johto since season 5. Which means we could still see a movie with Hoh-oh in it. IRC did ho-oh appear in the 3rd movie? I thought he had a cameo appearance but can't remember.:)

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

Nintendo might have decided to bring back Ho-oh in if it's popular enough. The problem is that Ho-oh is pretty much not that well known by the fans (HG/SS helped though), and the phoenix simply just doesn't seem to get that many people's attention.

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

The thing is everyone likes Psychic Pokemon as a whole and has been that way since Gen 1. That is why Lugia got his boom in gen 2 and is still a favorite among Pokemon fans. See it is the natural support that gets the specific Pokemon into the movies and let alone the show.

Without the support there will not be any Pokemon in the movies. Entie was the favorite in gen 3 so it got his own movie then followed Celebi Latios Latias Jirachi Deoxys Mew the Regis Manaphy and the 4th gen legends. If there is no support the Pokemon will not make it. It usually goes by the fan support that makes the Pokemon popular. If you want so see your favorite you have to get others to support it before it will happen.

Sadly there was not enough support for Ho-oh. It still could happen in a future movie though.:)

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

I think it can certainly be a "co-star" of a movie (Similar to Lucario & Mew) just because it has a significance to the Pokemon World as a whole. However, The staff in charge of Pokemon films will always include a current-generation star as well to promote the new games and stuff.

RE: Will Ho-oh ever be featured in it's own movie ?

When HG/SS came out then why did they not promote both Ho-oh and Lugia in separate movies? That does not make sense because Lugia was not promoted but why not Ho-oh other than support anyway/ The question is why did not Ho-oh get promoted if that is the case? I am confused now XD.:)

RE: Will Ho-Oh Ever Be Featured in it's own Movie ?

I think so. Possibly the last movie. Ho-oh could have a forme or Mega Evolution for its movie debut

During Ash's journies, I love it when he sees Ho-oh flying by. It makes it feel like Ash is doing everything right, he's following the path that he was ment to take. Anyways I would love a movie that shows when the three Pokémon are killed in the Burnt Tower, then resurrected into Raikou, Entei, and Suicune by Ho-oh. That would be cool to see!
FYI, I find Ho-oh to be the most majestic, beautiful Pokémon!

Seeing Ho-oh coming from the sky, out of nowhere, flying around the Bell Tower in the afternoon with that music and bells and land on top of it was the best moment I had in all videogames!

Will Ho-oh get it's own movie? I don't know. Like some above have said, we're not the creators and so we don't know what's going in their heads but that movie might still happen based on what also has been said about the Legendary Beasts' appearence in the Zorua movie.
Personally, I love Ho-oh and would love to see a movie of it, more so if it shows some ancient Pokémon history with the towers and the Kimono girls.

If it's true, I can't understand why Lugia is cooler that Ho-oh! Ho-oh remains as that unsolved mystery (more so after it stopped appearing to Ash, if I recall it correctly) while Lugia is just some sleeping bird with massive fingers that seems more appropriate to play baseball and that when its called can't even do its own job right and get's beated by the three other birds (so much for Psychic type), requiring the help of a human.

RE: Will Ho-Oh Ever Be Featured in it's own Movie ?

Lugia shouldn't be described like that....

Anyway, I think Ho-Oh may have it's own movie, maybe because the creators of Pokemon may be hiding a surprise with it. It would be great to have all the bird legendary Pokemon in one movie, but the thought just came to me as I was typing, so I'm not sure it could be of a significance.

but lugia is amazing!

as for my thoughts on ho-oh getting a movie, I think it would be a great idea, but there would not really be a reason for it to star in its own movie right now. It might be better off co-staring with a pokemon from sun and moon.

That would be cool. I watched the Lugia movie a while back, and he didn't have that big of a role IN HIS OWN MOVIE. It was mainly just Ash stopping the Kanto legendary birds. Lugia was only there for like, 15 minutes? Anyways, Ho-Oh and Lugia should have movies, the former getting his own movie, and the latter getting a good movie.

I feel if they make a movie with Ho-Oh in it, it should be the main character where the entire story focuses on it and have Ho-Oh trying to do something like ending Thanksgiving or something.
