Hi to all
I am planning to buy new laptop. But confused little which system to buy.So please share your experience so i can get some ideas.which one is better..?

Windows 7 by far. vista has SO many downloading problems, I had to go back to friggin XP just to donwload half of my crapp. You do know the only reason thy made Windows 7 so fast was because everyone was BSing to them about how sh***y vista is, right?

Pretty much true. It took me 2+ years to finally get my nintendo wi-fi usb to work on vista.. Actually after two years on trying to get vista to work I went back to my old XP and just used that till it basically died.

alright, most of you kiddies dont know but here it goes.

vista had nothing wrong with it after SP1. if it didnt run right, it was YOUR problem, not the OS'. it did need a pretty beefy system to run it properly and thats probably what most of the complaints are about after SP1. how it wouldnt run properly/fast enough.

vista had NO downloading problems whatsoever, you probably were just doing it wrong. xD

pandamore - the reason why windows 7 is fast is because its not bloated, have you seen the architecture of it? oh wait, prob not because you just want to sit here and make random accusations about vista.

vista was a system that was clearly not intended for "noobs" to the PC world.

at the OP - win 7 ultimate. get it. im running it and its just fine. just dont disable UAC unless you know what youre doing.

hmm, best buy pc services are a joke.

they all told you to dowgrade to xp? why? i had no problems whatsoever with vista ultimate, but maybe thats because i knew what i was doing.

just so you know, i am in the IT field. im a sys admin for a private company so i know what im talking about. ;)

I didn't just go to Best Buy, I went to ppl just like you bud. Im 14 with no specific classes for computers and woundering why I couldn't download bluetooth. Blame me for wanting to know wut the he|| was wrong? I really don't care what computer knowledg you have, saying for w/e Im making accusations with no proof at all makes no sense because its what guys with college degress have told me 3 times in a row. /rant done

/me leaves

did you even have the bluetooth adapter that you were trying to get the drivers for? because i know for a fact all bluetooth drivers work for vista

i can make the accusation that nonexperienced ppl have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to vista.

Uh huh, see what happen was I couldn't get the classic style back to normal xp style in xp so I downloaded vista hom premium. I then tried to reinstall the bluetooth with the same discs i uses the first and all it did was kept coming up to a "Publisher is unkown, would you like to continue?" message OVER AND OVER and it never did conitnue, i would skip that part and go on to finish downloading. It then would tell me there wasn't a driver installed and the tablet failed to work. The ppl said just to buy a new laptop or buy Windows 7 because vista was horrible.

yerp thats why im so ticked at this vista thing because I need to come up with $200 for Windows 7 if I wanna downlaod it. Do you know how to go back to XP sinc it was the original operating system for my PC? lemme kno

You should be able to upgrade for free if your computer was bought within 90 days.

You guys need to realize that Pandamore wins every argument. You just gotta go with it.

Anyways, Vista uses a more complex operating system. From a programmers standpoint, Vista tries to use abnormal meathods to do simple things. This is one of the main causes of download problems. 7>Vista.

I had the same issue getting drivers onto Vista. But since you just upgraded to it you normally have to go to a page which I forgot where it's at that contains a list of all drivers installed. Your Bluetooth should be sitting there in a zipped file (wtf?), Vista makes simple things to complicated. lol

most drivers downloaded from the internet are compressed as they are quite large sometimes.

not all are .exes because of the fact that virus'/trojans are distributed this way.

also, she prob just had to right click/run as admin as this is the most common problem because of the user account control. it'll sometimes be stuck in a loop and then wont run properly, then it'll bug ya by saying "did ____ install correctly?"

lol.

I have had no problems with Vista. With that said I still prefer Windows 7. I have been running it since March.
