Please could someone explain the Day 2 invite process (assuming enough points have been won) - invite timing, communication, logistics, restrictions, etc.

Particularly interested to hear from under 18s and parents (as I have a son in Juniors who really wants to go next year).

Also, please could someone explain the 'scholarship' and 'travel certificate' prizes.

Thanks in advance.

If you get psat day 1 at worlds you will get to day 2

if your child is top 16 in his reigon, he will be able to skip past day 1 and go right to day 2, as well as getting a $1000 travel credit

if you didnt know already, its in DC

Thanks, it was more - what happens when a player has qualified for a Day 2 invite. Timing of invite, what happens after that, etc.

I'm not asking about the tournament days, i.e. what happens on Day 1, Day 2.

I'm asking about the (direct to) Day 2 'invite' itself, when it is sent out by the organisers, how it is sent out, what happens after that in terms of logistics (travel/hotel if you get it paid for), etc.

ohhhh ok

So the invite and travel voucher will be sent to your email, assuming you put one into your play pokemon account, and it will be sent out sometime during the summer (times vary). After that, when you check into the tournament, they will activate your travel voucher (giving you 1000 dollars to do with whatever you please, because you already paid for the flights) and you can go and skip day 1.

So what happens with worlds invites is that the top players of the region get a free flight and stay at a hotel. This is top22 in Europe, t16 in North America, t8 in South America and t8 in Oceania. If you've qualified for an invite you'll get a message two/three weeks after NAIC for flight arrangements and your signature as a parent and stuff. If that's all okay you'll get a flight arranged for you which you can try and change but Pokemon has a budget so not all flights are available. Also, @The Last Shaymin sorry but you should check your info again because most of it is wrong:(

Thanks, that's the kind of thing I was after.

The $1000, I believe, is in relation to travel to Internationals, not Worlds.

on pokemon.com there is under play pokemon events then on the links click 2019 championship series then go down and click on the link to internationals.

Internats has a similar system to worlds but with money instead of full trips. Only the t4 in every region get a full trip paid plus 1000$ for hotel (which you have to book yourself). T16 only gets a 1000$ grant in Europe and North America but I dont what the grant range is for the rest of the regions.
