Setzer (Harry) said:The only reason I would not recomend a X-Box 360 is the incredibly high falirue rate. I'm not trying to critizise your decision, but 43% of 360's fail. That's still no reason not to get games like Oblivion, CoD:Mod2, or Final Fantasy XIII (The multiple disks are kinda annoying).
But above all else, get Fable 2. The only game where slaughtering an entire village is not an act of evil, but a great buisness opourtinity.

PheonyxXx said:Are you gonna say Final Fantasy XII is more annoying then epic because of multiple discs as well? And I've had better luck with 360's than PS3's, I've known more people with failing PS3's over 360's. Only reason I had to buy a NEW 360 was because my previous one had been stolen, not because of failure.
LoneTyranitar said:Ok with the price limit aside what is everybody's favorite game for the 360? So far i really appreciate all the recommendations, but i would really like to know exactly what you guys think i should get. Thanks in advance.
Gale said:Never, ever, ever buy Final Fantasy 13 or Dragon Age: Origins for the 360 if you don't have to. As far as Final Fantasy goes, it's not only because the three discs are annoying, but because you'll get a much better frame rate on the PS3. The game is supposed to look pretty, and it doesn't do it as well on the Xbox as it can on the PS3. Dragon Age: Origins is a PC game. The pausing and point-and-click strategy is obviously not meant for a console. Also, has there really EVER been a good console RTS? (Okay, maybe other than Tom Clancy's End War, but that was superior on the PC as opposed to Xbox so...) Oh yeah, and Final Fantasy 13 goes for like 60 dollars. lol.
ANYWAY, I own a 360 myself, and I have found myself playing Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, (a new DLC just came out, "The Passing". It's quite good) Splinter Cell: Conviction, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and on occasion Modern Warfare 1. Unfortunately, PS3 gets the better titles. Heavy Rain, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, that kind of stuff. Most of the multi-console titles are better on PS3 (except for Modern Warfare 2, because Infinity Ward loves Xbox way more than PS3, and way more than PC).
It all depends on what kind of games you like. There are some good releases coming later this year, like Fallout New Vegas, Red Dead Redemption; or you could wait until Gears of War 3 comes out next year. But considering your price range, there aren't many things you CAN buy. I'd go for used version of some of the games I mentioned above. Older games like Red Faction Guerrilla, Prototype, and the original Bioshock go for around 25 to 30 dollars used (even less if you trade in games towards new ones). I'm not a fan of the Halo series, but if you can't get Modern Warfare 2, that or Bad Company 2 are the best alternatives in my opinion (that and Modern Warfare 1).
Hope you get what you're looking for.
shadoworganoid said:3 Discs huh? Really? Cool. Sure it may take a long time to beat, but who likes a game that you beat in 10 hours or less?
I love Final Fantasy, I just don't love it on the 360. It's a really cool game with great replay value.
Im getting it for my Bday tomorrow and cant wait. Im not as picky as others are for the little details. (linear storyline ect)
And dragon age origins IS a good game. I own it and suck at it, but its really fun. The graphics are better then any PC imo. (due to HD TV)
I definitely agree it's a good game. It's probably one of the best RTS games out there right now. The graphics are better on the console for sure, but it's a bit more difficult to play on a console. At least, imo.
So I suppose you agree with the rest of my choices listed?
Pretty much.
Also, just no. Prototype sucks. Its overly bloody and has horrible graphics and gameplay.
It has horrible graphics because it's been in development for several years (I want to say early 2000's, maybe 2004, 2005), and wasn't quite ready for next-gen consoles. I don't really understand what you mean by "overly bloody". The gameplay is unique and versatile. It's basically Grand Theft Auto -stealing cars +awesome superpowers.
LoneTyranitar said:It's looking like FF XIII, Bioshock 1/2, Mass Effect 1/2, MW2 and Dragon Age Origins are the most commonly suggested ones, am i right? Thanks you guys Im thinking i will try to pick up FF XIII (sorry Gale, i don't have a PS3 but i should be getting a $90 HDMI hookup cable for $15 ) and Bioshock for $15, cause thats how much it is at my gamestore.
