Strategy:

My strategy is basically to stall until I can get Primal Groudon active, preferably with a few strong energy to cover Mega Ray's resistance. Preferably, the stalling Pokemon would be Wobbuffet until I got a few energy in the discard and could use either Mega Turbo or Landorus to attach to Primal Groudon.

Since I'm a less experienced player, I just need help finding the right cards to use. Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

A couple things:

  • I'm not sure about Trainers' Mail in the deck. Personally, I think more Acro Bike is better to draw through the deck and dig in deeper what you need to find. The drawback is you have to discard the other card but you can take any kind of card. Maybe it's the Strong Energy you need to OHKO the M Rayquaza. Maybe it's a Hawlucha to finish off the stupid Landorus EX. Acro Bike I feel is more versatile and ups your consistency.
  • You probably don't need a baby Landorus. He's only good for late game. I've tried using Pokemon other than Wobbuffet and Primal Groudon in this kind of deck and Landorus is not that useful. The only time, in theory, is Landorus good is late game when you have to repower up a Primal Groudon. You probably dont want to run Energy Retrieval and want to do some damage to a Pokemon. The problem is, when you're that late in the game, your opponent probably has only 1 or 2 prizes left. When Landorus EX gets KO'D, you might have lost already. I would focus on consistency then. Adding another Wobbuffet seems to be the better option as having 4 gives you the maximum chance to start out with him.
  • Focus Sash is a must for any Fighting Deck. You may be hit with 300 damage by a Dragon M Rayquaza but Focus Sash gives you 10 HP to give you a turn to OHKO the Dragon. That might be the difference between winning a game or two.
  • A 3-2 line will not be enough. With so many ways to discard cards and having cards prized, just another copy of Primal Groudon will make a huge difference in your games.
  • 2 Professor's Letter may not be necessary and a single copy should be sufficient.

Thank you for the advice; your points make a lot of sense. I'm going to do a few tests with:

Removed:
  • One Landorus
  • Two Trainer's Mail
  • One Shauna
  • One Professor's Letter
Added:
  • One Acro Bike
  • Two Focus Sash
  • One Tool Retriever
  • One Primal Groudon EX
