YanBat (Yanmega/Crobat) Help with an idea

I saw this deck posted on another site, andhave put it on paper, and it has intrieged me. Wondering what I could do to make it work?

I know this list will struggle against any Electric deck. Ideas to counter that would be great.

Pokemon: 20

3-3 Yanmega
3-3-3 Crobat Prime
2 Jirachi
2 Cleffa
1 Smeargle

T-S- 31

4 Catcher
4 Max potion
3 Junk Arm
3 Rare Candy
3 Communication
2 Collector
2 Cheren (or Pont, or Juniper)
4 Judge
3 Copycat
3 Elms

Energy-9

9 Psychic

The idea I guess is to set up asap, and swarm with theYanmega and Crobats. With the free retreats, I can alway move a fresh one active, and heal off any damage with the Max Potions. The damage output is not as high as most pokemon, but poisoning the opponent with make them consider retreating, or face a 2 hit KO in most cases.

Ideas are appriciated

This deck looks really interesting and fun. WIsh I had some Crobat primes to play this :(
The only problem as you said is Lightning. Zekrom, magnezone, thunderus and even the lone SR pikachu tech will destroy this deck.
Obviously the best counter is Donphan Prime. I see no other options, maybe marowak or gliscor (both a big stretch)
Since Magnezone prime and ZPST are seeing play a lot this deck may need a new meta to be playable (I really wanna play it though :p)

Thanks for the reply.

How can I fit in a 2-2 Donphan and 3 or 4 Energies? I cab drop the Smeargle, and maybe the 2 Cleffas, and a Golbat. What else?

Thanks!!!!

Tested this deck yesterday, with Donphan in it, vs a Beartic/Zekrom deck and did surprisingly well. The one problem I did notice was if Vileplume hits the bench, I have way too many Trainers, and it stalls.

It is a very fun deck though, and I am going to run it at Battleroads for fun this weekend

anymore updates on this deck? been thinking about making it online.

indeed, the deck itself looks like a lot of fun and would love to test it online!

How did you decide to incorporate donphan?

Just saw this thread again...sorry for the delay

It was a fun deck to play, but doesnt inflict enough damage to win consistantly.

As for Donphan, I think I dropped a Golbat, Jirachi, Smeargle and a Catcher for a 2-2 Donphan

You may want to update the OP. Anyway, if you're swarming, you need 4 crobat and maybe 4-3 yanmega. It's hard to swarm stage 2's in this format so maybe this list could help.
Pokemon: 18
4 Mew prime
4-4 Yanmega
0-0-2 Crobat prime
1 Jirachi
1 Cleffa
1 Umbreon

Trainers: 31
4 Pokemon collector
4 Pokemon communication
4 Catcher
4 Pluspower
4 Junk arm
3 PONT
6 split of N, Judge, and copycat
3 Split of super rod and revive

Energy: 11
9 {P}
2 rainbow

Strategy: The idea is to see of a mew T1. Then, swarm mews and yanmegas. It's much easier to swarm a basic and a stage two. The whole idea of this deck is to disrupt. That's why there is 4 catcher and 4 pluspower. Cleffa is for emergency situations. Jirachi is there because you can snipe with yanmega and crobat and when you poison them, they will likely retreat. Umbreon is your answer to electric. Magnezone can't touch him, which is the most dominant electric type. Zekrom will give you trouble, but you should be fine. Donphan isn't the best idea because although he has a 1 energy attack, mew will be ko'd even sooner from a few earthquakes. This list isn't perfect, but it will allow to swarm much easier. Hope I helped!

If you don't decide to go with mew, here is a list that should work.
Pokemon: 23
4-1-4 Crobat prime
4-4 Yanmega prime
2-2 Donphan prime
1 Cleffa
1 Jirachi

Pokemon: 24

4-4 Yanmega prime
2-2 Donphan prime
1 Cleffa

3 Judge
3 Copycat
3 Sage's training

Energy: 10
3 Rainbow
7 {P}

Strategy: First off, this is a 67 card list. You're going to have to cut some pokemon depending on your meta. TBH, if lightning isn't big, I wouldn't go with donphan at all, but it's up to you. The strategy is essentially the same, swarm crobats and yanmegas and bring up donphan if needed. Whatever route you take, I wish you luck. Thanks for reading!
EDIT: Why do I even help... >_<
