Let us give thanks to our lord and saviour, bacon bird. Here's yet another Yveltal list.

Pokemon:

  • 3x Yveltal EX
    1x Yveltal
    1x Darkrai EX
    3x Trubbish
    2x Garbodor
    2x Seismitoad EX
    1x Mewtwo EX
Trainers:

  • 3x Professor Juniper
    3x N
    2x Skyla
    1x Xerosic
    1x Colress
    2x Lysandre
    1x Pokemon Fan Club
    3x Muscle Band
    3x Ultra Ball
    3x Float Stone
    3x Hypnotoxic Laser
    2x Vs Seeker
    2x Energy Switch
    2x Switch
    1x Startling Megaphone
    1x Professor's Letter
    2x Virbank City Gym
    1x Computer Search
Energy:

  • 7x Darkness Energy
    4x Double Colorless Energy

Strategy:

Two potential starts, Seismitoad to slowly chip the opponent whilst putting them in lock, giving you time to build your bench or baby Yveltal start, discard a couple of dark energy with your ultra balls and such and use Oblivion Wing to energy accelerate (No Dark Patch makes this a necessity). From that point get your Yveltal EX set up to wreck house.

Would like to somehow incorporate Head Ringers & Jamming Nets but unsure what I could part ways with and not have the fluency of the deck be compromised.

I honestly don't think CharizardEX is necessary, nor was it ever. Just having Garbotoxin gives you a favorable Vir/Gen match up. Instead of wasting space on a card that will be dead in quite a few games, try fitting 2 Head Ringer, which is a great card and usable against 80% of the top-tiered decks. I also suggest that you replace one Yveltal with one additional Trubbish, just to ensure that you're able to get at least 1 Garbodor in play with all the Catchers/Lysandres happening. I understand that you want to accelerate, but the setup you're describing (Seismitoad lock then Yveltal then attack) would be giving your opponent a decent amount of time before you start putting the pressure on with YveltalEX. Seismitoad stalling is enough to get the right amount of energy on YveltalEX, and I've found that I don't really use Yveltal that often anyways.

Good luck with your deck :)

I would disagree with both replacing Charizard EX and that Garbotoxin "alone" provides a favorable VirGen match-up.

Charizard EX's first attack (for CCC energy cost) will also be quite useful against the PhF Metal decks too, as well as VirGen decks.

Even with Garbotoxin in play, the Toads are still arguably easy 1HKO targets for Genesect EX or 2HKO targets for starting Virizion EXs. Also, expect VirGen deck players to start teching in the new Manectric EX which will then terrorize your Yveltal EXs

I found this to be quite funny when my opponent could not Emerald Slash till T3; slowed him down quite a bit. However, he changed his deck to include Xerosic which is an easy counter to Head Ringer...

Also, consider incorporating a Pokémon Fan Club to help get the 2 Basic Poké benched fast.

[Bump]

Took the advice of everyone on this thread and am currently testing Computer Search (It's come in handy so many times). Any other advice including ways to incorporated Jamming Nets & Head Ringers would be greatly appreciated.

Not an "easy" question to answer, IMO.

I'm at that point too where I got to decide what to replace in my Seismitoad deck in order to incorporate Head Ringers - which I opted to be of higher priority vs. Jamming Net. There are multiple tech card groups one could employ in this deck:

  • Hammer (Crushing and/or Enhanced)
    Head Ringer
"Healing" (e.g., Max Potions, Pokémon Center Lady, etc.)
    Ht Laser
    Jamming Net
    Muscle Band
    Xerosic
    etc.
I estimate there are about 10 card slots to fill. However, I have not yet finished analyzing some priorities given the metagame in my area. Personally, I believe you first need to develop some priorities, rank the aforementioned groups, and play-test them all to determine what best fits you.
