Pokemon: 13

  • 3 Yveltal EX
    3 Yveltal
    2 Darkrai EX
    2-2 Zoroark BCR/DEX
    1 Keldeo-EX
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 35

  • 4 Professor Juniper
    4 N
    2 Colress
    2 Lysandre
    3 Ultra Ball
    4 Hypnotoxic Laser
    3 Muscle Band
    3 Energy Switch
    3 VS Seeker
    1 Switch
    1 Escape Rope
    1 Professor's Letter
    1 Computer Search
    2 Virbank City Gym
    2 Shadow Circle
Energy: 11

  • 7 Darkness Energy
    4 Double Colorless Energy

Strategy:
Here is another deck I may play - due to having a lot of Zoroark DaE/BoC. Basically a Yveltal/Darkrai varient, I aim to use Yveltal and Zoroark as my main attackers - Zoroark brutal bashing for 120/140 or even dark rushing for 180/200 and Yveltal for Evil Ball. Keldeo is for rush in, when a dark energy is attached.

Anyway, I would like to start going standard-competitive again, so opinions are definitely welcome!

EDIT:
-2 Virbank +2 Dark Circle
-2 Hypnotoxic +2 Sigilyph (Safeguard)
-1 Computer Search +1 Scoop-up Cyclone
-1 Keldeo EX +1 Colress

Still looking for help!

Hi bbninjas,

Nice deck. Not sure that Sigilyph is needed in this deck. Consider to remove him for some Head Noisers as an alternate means to disable the opponent. I would also cut Lysandre's Trump Card in favor of more Vs Seekers and switch Scoop Up Cyclone for Dowsing Maschine. Cut one Colress for a fourth N since Colress is awefull in the first few turns until the bench has been filled. Vs Seeker can compensate for the reduced Colress count later one. On usual you want three of them. Also consider to remove all three Energy Switch for two more Laser and trade Shadow Circle for Virbank stadium. This leaves you with room for three Head Ringers which tend to work awesome in Yveltal Ex decks.

As an alternative you could also consider to use M Manectric ex instead of Zoroark but I wanted to stick to the theme and not turn the deck into a somewhat different version. If you are interested in this version check out the newest version of Disatster Bolt. Hope this provides some initial assistance.

-1 Trump Card + 1 VS Seeker
-2 Shadow Circle + 2 Virbank
-1 Scoop Up Cyclone +1 Dowsing Machine
-1 Yveltal +1 Head Ringer
-3 Energy Switch + 2 Head Ringer, +1 Hypnotoxic
-1 Colress +1 N

Thanks DE

Also made a standard-legal deck (no N)

Still looking for suggestions.

N is still in standard because it's BWP100

Interesting... someone (one of the organisers) said N wasn't in date. I didn't agree with him but...
EDIT: The pokemon website card searcher didn't like N as a standard legal either. Oh well.

Would it be worth paying a bit more for Lasers and Banks which will go out of format soon?

Hypnolasers and Virbank won't go out of format until after next year's World's so yes. Definitely need that Hypnobank.

Cool.

I've decided to

-2 Shauna
-2 Bianca
-1 N
+2 Energy Switch
+1 VS Seeker
+1 Caitlin
+1 Professor's Letter

I suggest taking out the Caitlin for another N

Do yveltal decks generally use up most of the hand?

Kind of. However Caitlin is still only mediocre for draw. A lot of the times you will only have 2-3 card you would actually want to get rid of, and then you only get 2-3 cards from a supporter, which isn't what you would want.

Okay then. I know that it works pretty well in some decks but I can imagine Yveltal isn't really one.

Been skyping with MLK who was telling me that Sigs are not good in the deck

-2 Siglyph
-2 Rainbow Energy
-1 Startling Megaphone

+1 Hypnotoxic Laser
+1 Virbank City Gym
+1 Baby Yveltal
+1 Dark Energy
+1 Spiritomb LT

Decided to take out the Head Ringers as the likelihood of me getting them is pretty low.

-3 Head Ringers
+1 Energy Switch
+2 Bicycles

Yveltal doesn't empty its hand to the point where Bicycle becomes useful. You're better off running Roller Skates. Also, 2 Virbank is enough imo, as most decks run it anyway...

I'll test with Bicycle and with Skates. However, the 3rd Virbank is there two get rid of Stadiums such as Fighting, in the Stadium war. If other decks use it, then I can just discard my own two get Pokemon.
EDIT: Probably going to swap another card with Keldeo-EX, so watch this space.

+1 Keldeo EX
-1 Switch
