Here's my deck list from Colorado States. From what i could tell there was about 100 Masters. Out of them, roughly 20-30 were toad decks. My Yveltal/Toad deck did the best out of all the Toad decks. I mirror matched once against the lead toad deck and crushed it. However my record at the end of the day stood at 1 win, 3 draws, 3 losses. All 3 of the draws should've been wins. The problem with having Seismitoad is the moment you switch out for your heavy hitter (Yveltal) they can resume the use of items and make a comeback easily. Secondly, it slows your opponent down waaay too much. They end up sitting there devising ways to recover and you never make it through the third match and you end up with nothing but ties. I had more draws than anybody else in the tourny. Seismitoad is great to disrupt the tourny flow but it is not a competitive deck. And Yveltal is the best match up for toad. There wasn't a single toad deck there that was capable of beating mine.
Which leads me to a new deck. I got defeated turn 1. Night March. I went first and was not able to attack (which is not fair) because it allowed my opponent to hit me for 180 damage, turn 1, and take the win. It was a bs game.... And i lost because the broken rules allow a deck to OHKO any card in existence, turn 1, which no one can prepare for.
The top 8 consisted of the following that i know of.
One Primal Kyogre.
2 Lando-bats
2 Night March decks
One Fairy deck (gardevoir) - I faced this deck. Wow. It is vicious. Move energy from one guy to another. Max Potion. And then Move it all back to your M- Gardevoir EX. So unless you can hit for 210 DMG (230 if you're running Yveltal/Dark types) in one turn, you'll never beat this deck. No need for special energy as there's a verizion for the deck that allows to attach 2 energy in any way you like. whereas, verizion restricts the attachment to one pokemon.
and i didn't get to see the other 2 decks, However i heard a Primal Groudon made it in.
