Standard Yveltal EX / Zoroark

How to Pokemon?

So recently I decided to pull together a standard format variation of what was my favourite deck, pre-rotation: Gallade/Yveltal/Zoroark. I had a good look and decided that Gallade was a bit inconsistent end unnecessary bc no compressor (you ruined format compressor). I also decided that i wanted this list to be fast, thus I run only 2 Zoroark (I'll explain later).

The List

Pocket Monsters ; 13

2 Shaymin EX ROS
2 Yveltal EX XY
2 Yveltal GEN
2 Zoroa (moonlight madness)
2 Zoroark (Night Striker XD)
1 Zoroak Break
1 Mew FCL
1 Mr. Mime (Bench Barrier)

Trainers; 36

4 Prof Tree
2 N
2 Lysalamander
1 Ninja Boy
1 Hex Maniac
1 Pokemon Ranger
(11)
4 VS Seekers
4 Trainers' Mail
4 Ultra Ball
3 Max Elixir
4 Fighting Fury Belt
2 Float Stone
1 Super Rod
1 Energy Switch
(23)
2 Reverse Valley
(2)

Energy; 11

3 Double Chicken Nuggets
8 Dankness Energy

Explain yourself child!

Alrighty, I run the generic 2 shaymin, 2 Yveltal EX, 2 Yveltal. I run 2-2 Zoroark because i personally believe that this deck should be based more around the yveltal EX, and run only 2-2 for 1; Extra firepower ray/rainbow matchups 2; Mobility 3; Zoroark break is trolly lol. I personally think that 2-2-1 is enough. I run Bench barrier for Yveltal (fright night) and to generally protect the bench bc Shaymin is pretty. I run mew for M Mewtwo-EX weakness and Prize trades.

Supporter line; I run 4 -2 Sycamore/N because I like a faster play style, and only use N to disrupt/ conserve resources. The rest is self explanatory.
Item Line; I run the usual 4 seeker, 4 mail, 4 ball, but only run 3 Elixir. This is because I personally am a cheapskate and only own 3, and also because i see no need for it. As long as I can hit 2/3 elixir within the first few turns, energy isn't an issue for speed due to Y-Cyclone and not playing like the 13 year old kid we all were at one point. I run 4 BFF's (fighting Fury) because i need friends and health. I liked playing bulky Yveltal when it was a thing, and this is the next best thing. I could cut 1, but i would prefer to keep it just because consistency. I run Energy Switch for sticky and clutch plays e.g. hitting elixir to bench shaybae and moving it to an active Yveltal EX for a bigger hit, without using the turns' attach.
2 Reverse valley for extra damage and trolling the mirror matchup (Yveltal).

Energy counts; I only run 3 DCE because i see no necessity for the 4th as I only run the 2 Zoroark, and moving them around has never been easier, thanks to our proud sponsor, Yveltal-XD. I run only 8 darkness because i personally think that any over is wasted space, and any under means that elixir is digging for gold in your neighbours backyard (really not gonna work).

Any input is good (unless it isn't), and it all helps.
Thanks.

Lol you seem to have built this very well, it is hard to run yveltal competitively in standard.

Edit: Maybe add another N, depends on if you find it consistent enough.

you could try playing with one or two fright night yveltals. They turn off tools when in the active so it slows down mega decks and float stones. Plus if it ever gets stuck in the active you can just stand in. You could also try out Mew ex instead of mew FCL cause it has more hp and can copy any attack even your opponents (for the right energies). While mew can only copy your basics. So mew ex could copy mind jack and hit for psychic weakness, or copy y cyclone and recycle DCE, or copy foul play and use your opponents attack for 1 dark. Just so many options. Just some things to think about! Good luck!

I definitely concur with including 1 Yveltal (BKT) (-1 Mr. Mime - too situational, IMO or a FFB) - it's fantastic in Dark decks, IMO.

I would also suggest for your consideration replacing 1 Trainer's Mail with another Max Elixir (maximizes your chances of getting more Basic energy into play faster).
