Strategy:

Check out my deck list. I worked hard on it. Yveltal is a must. Use Professors letter, then ultra ball to get energy in discard. Also Max potion will do the trick. Goldbat has his effect and putting 20 makes anything 1HKO. Also has a useful attack for 1 energy does 10 to all your opponents Pokémon, good for a pinch. After I made my deck I saw some people were using Foretress to mark each Pokemon with a counter. I think Goldbat is better considering it can do 2, has no retreat cost and can do the same thing as Foretress with one energy of any type.

The rest should be self explanatory. Basic concepts were observed in Youtube videos and other forums. I tailored this deck to face my girlfriends M Gardevoir deck knowing it has resistance. The major road block is that his attack only does 1 counter instead of 3, messing up the OHKO for a select few Pokemon, This deck works very well and I have played her 2 times each time she didn't take a single prize card. I think Yveltals attack is more than worth using with 1 damage counter as long as you get energy back from the discard every time. Seismitoad and Mewtwo can be swapped for just about anything. I am a fiend for Skyla as well.

I see most people prefer battle compressor. I'm not a fan Ultra ball/Prof letter/ Yveltal is flawless if done right. Ultra ball and discard the two energies and get to put one back for Yveltals attack. Even discarding 4 energies from M Tyranitar to completely heal him is worth it if you have an active Yveltal. One energy from Yveltals attack and then a DCE and another attack and he is ready to go again. Hope yall like my ideas.
One final thought. 4 Zubat because it's nice to use with AZ. Get the goldbat back and play another Zubat because you have an extra. This is a first for me using AZ I am partial to super scoop up but since I only have 1 I don't want to risk a coin toss. Even taking back a M Tyranitar and discarding 4 energies and the basic works if you have another Tyranitar ready to go.

Oh and my last game I used all 3 VS Seekers on Skyla so I used her 6 times in one round. lol

I assume were having a conversation on mega tyranitar in general?

Idk I've tested against variants of tyranitar recently and it just doesn't have alot of threat atm, there is just so many stage 1 fighting decks going around atm, medicham, golurk, and dugtrio that just blow this deck out of the water on speed and power (my fav is dugtrio/gyarados).

I would highly recommend incorporating a Darkrai EX for not only the Dark Cloak Ability, but also for the extra 30 splash damage - sets up M Tyranitar EX very nicely too.

I also run 2 Level Balls in my deck in order to get needed Bats.

Why not max out DCEs? I run 4.

Why no Dark Patch or Mega Turbo for energy attachment acceleration?

With Bats, why run Muscle Band?

No doubt Skyla is useful, but you may be trading deck "speed" for accessing the "right" card (e.g., a Supporter) which you may not be able to play till your next turn... Consider incorporating 11-2 Trainer's Mail.

Should you be Item-locked, the 6 card-draw Supporters (3 Professor Juniper and 3 N) are woefully insufficient, IMO.

I found with running Mega Turbo I never used them. I usually keep the basic energy in my discard pile empty with Yveltal thus far playing.
Muscle Band was put in strictly to use for Yveltal against fairies, I would change the deck list for a more broad approach.

I wasn't even aware of Dark Patch, just started playing 2 months ago. I have used both Level Ball and Repeat Ball, both work OK.
Taking a more broad approach I would also use Shadow Circle but like I said this was a deck list tailored to fairies.

Also I am new to the site. I guess since this was just a configuration I made to play against a M Gardevoir deck maybe it doesn't belong in the Competitive play section? I'm not sure. I feel like the deck is competitive.

Good looks on the Darkai suggestion. I will have to try him out. I wish I could incorporate a few special dark energies but things seem to work out better with just running basics.

"No doubt Skyla is useful, but you may be trading deck "speed" for accessing the "right" card (e.g., a Supporter) which you may not be able to play till your next turn... I have a hard time finding the right balance of speed and getting the right card.

Typically my way of improving the deck is playing with it a few times, then I look at cards I had in my hand that I didn't need or couldn't use and think about what card would have been more useful in it's place. Swap a card or two and repeat.

You have a good build. I have a similar deck.

My strategy is to set-up 3 Yveltals, 1 Yveltal EX, and run a 3 Pinceo - Forretress line for my front attackers, until Mega - T is powered up. Forretress can hit for decent damage with a DCE, and provides the damage acceleration for Destroyer King. Yveltals provide energy from discard pile and dealing 30 damage.

The rest is my opinion. Also I just started 3 months ago with my son.

Not sure if Muscle Band is needed. Your other Pokemon will deal enough damage to setup Mega - T for clean-up duty. Remember Mega - T can have 2 two card attached. If you get hit with a head ringer (rare, but might happen) then your energy costs for Mega - T become unmanageable. I made room for 2 hard charms and one Exp. Share, with spirit link you cover your tool weakness (and it is a weakness!) with Mega - T and adds 20 more HP and energy transfer in moment of need.

The trainer above mentioned Darkrai EX. Good idea! Provides free retreat, which is very costly in this deck. Hex Maniac is a good card to add to shut down abilities.

Skyla slows the deck down. 3 Professor Birch, Shauna, Colress combination would help. Also I would add another VS seeker.

Consider Heavy ball, as it will grab any T you need.

I have a similar deck posted at the Deck Garage forum just a couple of days ago. Would love input and advice; check it out!

The deck has no speed, but that doesn't mean that it should trade consistency out for something less consistent, skyla is not that consistent against every matchup, some decks that setup fast enough to take you out, where skyla would then put you in a position where you have less cards in hand to deal with your opponent. What is fast in this deck is playing 3 battle compressor, 4 vs seeker, 4 dark patch, 3 mega turbo, 4 acro bike, 3 trainers mail, just so you can basically put 2-3 energy on your tyranitar turn 1 before the mega, because once your first mega t-tar goes down you'll just have to waste a couple turns for setup and your down to 0 energy for setup. And thanks to decks like vespiquen I play 3 e hammers and expect people to play a minimum of 2 in there decks due to the vast amount of decks that run heavy special energy nowadays. Nut that simple tech essentially slows down your mega t-tar. Most importantly is 4-4 golbat. Yveltal is not enough to counter opposing decks once mega t-tar has gone down.
