Remember, people could still play Groudon EX when it comes out, and also terrakion and Landorus.
 
Yeah I was thinking about Groudon EX and how he might play affect lightning decks in the future. In that case Zapdos wouldn't be a terrible idea when Groudon comes out. I'll figure something out upon his release. As for Terrakion and Landorus, I'm thankful they aren't really in my meta. Eel decks and Chandlure runs rampant though.
 
Against Chandelure and Eel, Zapdos can snipe Magnemites, Tynamos, Cleffas, Litwick, Oddish, and Doduo. I don't think a deck surrounding Zapdos is a good idea, but using it as a tech is a great idea IMO.
