ZekEels and more

Update! Even though it probably doesn't matter...

-2 Tynamo (30 hp)
-1 Junk Arm
-1 Level Ball
-1 Sage's

+1 Tynamo (40 hp)
+1 Raikou EX
+1 Ultra Ball
+1 Juniper
+1 Skyarrow Bridge

I'll change the list later, cause I havn't got time :D
Edit: Done

The reason to take them out is simply because Terrakion screws up your consistency, and also you should focus on speed. Zekrom EX doesn't do anything Zekrom BLW doesn't do already; it just gives 2 prizes instead of 1.

Terrakion has been really useful now and then. It has more than once been the only reason, I could take the last prize(s).
True, your opp gets 2 prizes for Zek EX, but compared to Zek BW:

Zek BW 130 hp (can be OHKO by almost any EX). Zek EX 180 hp (can't be OHKO'ed by any EX, but Mewtwo, without 3 PlusPs)

Zek BW {C}{C} 20+own dmg (risky buisness)/ {L}{L}{C} 120, 40 recoil (20 if Eviolite, but still). Zek EX {L}{C}{C} 50, flip for 80 (not huge, but still nice)/ {L}{L}{C}{C} 150 disc any 2 energy ({C}{C}, with some strategy you might be able to keep it up).

Zek BW 1 prize (yeah of cause better than Zek EX at that point). Zek EX 2 prizes (yeah, dang...)

If I should focus on speed I'd go back to playing ZPST. Trust me, I've tried. I had no chance.

I mean speed with consistency. Not that kind of risky speed that ZPST offers. Zekrom EX has 180 HP, but with Dark Pokémon making their own deck Terrakion will show up more and Zekrom EX is just a free prize.

So Terrakion only screws up ZekEels's consistency, not those decks with dark pokémon? Well btw I see your point, but I think, that the decks I've played against is too much the same to draw any conclusions yet, and it's soon DM (Denmark Nationals), and it's probably not a good idea to make big changes to the deck so close to Nationals. But after DM I'll take a look at your suggestions :)

Well, just think that you can start Terrakion. Yes, it's unlikely, but in Nationals consistency is key. Also, it's not that close to Nationals. Terrakion is bad for any deck consistency (sometimes it's worth it), especially decks with this kind of energy acceleration. You can still test those changes and get used to them. But yeah, it is a little risky xP

I've only tried it once, but it's true, that starting with Terrakion is really annoying, but as you say: the risk is low (but it is there). You sure all Nationals are at the same time? "Mine" is next saturday, and in my opinion that's close. I don't think this is the time to make that big changes to deck (and strategy). I've been playing the same deck (with a few changes now and then) since maybe a month after NX. I remember once, when I took out one Juniper. I forgot that I did and looked desperately for it during a game. Just imagine that at Nationals (and with pokémon it's probably even worse) :p
Also Denmark is a small country, so it's difficult to get to train (there are only three leagues on the island I live on, and only one is worth going to (and we're like ten in that league)

how has this worked for you in testing if i may ask?
Terrakion or the deck (of cause you may ask :D)?

Next Saturday?? That's very soon :p
Then yeah, you should keep the deck as close to your current list you can. Good luck :D

Thanks alot :D I hope to beat my 7th from last year, but I'm master now, so it's gonna be tough :p

I'll update to my current list. It's BW-on. I thought I'd better get used to the new format as soon as possible :)

- 1 Zekrom BW (I'm not using it that much, so I thought I'd try dropping one)
- 1 Shaymin (gone... Forever! :()
- 3 Junk arm (above)
- 2 Pokegear 3.0 (Ok, I'm not gonna write a reason for the rest of the HS cards)
- 1 Lost Remover
- 1 Oak
- 2 Sage's
- 4 Collector *sniffle*
- 1 Juniper (To get space for Random Receiver)

+ 1 Thundurus (I really like starting with it, and it's now more difficult to search for it)
+ 1 Catcher (Cause no Junk Arm)
+ 1 Level Ball (above)
+ 1 Switch (above above)
+ 1 Ultra Ball (Need cards to get pokemon)
+ 2 SSU (I've wanted it in my deck for some time. And it's pretty useful)
+ 2 Random Receiver (New Pokegear 3.0)
+ 1 Enhanced Hammer (New Lost Remover (I might take it out cause I can't Junk Arm it))
+ 3 N (New Oak)
+ 2 Cheren (drawpower)
+ 1 Skyarrow (Retreating is important, you know :p)
