Pokemon. Terrakion for Mirror match and Darkrai EX

Any opinion is welcome :)

RE: Zekeels for nationals!

If you don't have access to either Mewtwo EX or Tornadus EX, I honestly wouldn't advise playing this deck at all. These are the fundamental backbones of any and all Zekrom/Eels decks that I have seen. If you still want to play it, I do suggest a Thundurus+Terrakion varient as it can deal quite well in the mirror and against Darkrai which is sure to be big in all the Nationals to come.

I would advise you get used to liking Professor Juniper as it is really honestly the best straight draw Supporter card we have in the format right now. Almost every deck runs 3/4 copies of it just because there are a lot of resources that you'll be needing to grab every turn and it's the best way to acquire those resources like Junk Arm and Pokemon Catcher. I would highly advise taking out a Plus Power (two is plenty in this deck) and a Sage's Training (vastly inferior draw Supporter card compared to PONT, Juniper, and N) for two more Professor Juniper.

dmaster out.

RE: Zekeels for nationals!

- 1 sage's
- 1 catcher
- 1 plus power
- 1 Zekrom
- 1 Tynamo
- 1 Tornadus

+ 2 Juniper
+ 3 Prism
+ 1 terrakion

anyone have any other suggestion? Should I play with smeargle and shaymin?
thank you

RE: Zekeels for nationals!

I changed some cards because I pull 2 Tornadus EX ;)

I tested this against a few deck's and it seems pretty solid ;)

RE: Zekeels for nationals!

Using 2 Tornadus EXs will make you susceptible to the mirror. Also, like Dmaster said, you should run 2 Terrakion and 3/4 Fightning Energy and also 1 or 2 Thundurus. Without Mewtwo EX, Mewtwo will KO your Pokémon very fast.
Have you tested this against any Darkrai variant or any Zekeels with Mewtwo? Cuz IMO it wouldn't win.
Also, you have to add more search cards. I like 4 Dual Balls, 3 Level Balls and 1 Ultra Ball so I can get my Eelektriks ASAP.
You should run 4-3 Eelektrik, not 3-3. Oh, and since you already run Skyarrow Bridge, Smeargle would be perfect.

RE: Zekeels for nationals!

I tested against Darkrai Ex and Zekeels, both with Mewtwo Ex.

I will test your suggestions an I will see the results.. but this list seems consistent.

RE: Zekeels for nationals!

How often do you get 2 Eelektriks turn 2?

RE: Zekeels for nationals!

At least 1 I can ;)
what you suggest? remove 1 switch 1 random receiver 1 catcher to add 2 level ball and 1 ultra ball?

RE: Zekeels for nationals!

i would use one more tynamo and two more mewtwo EX and get rid of one tornadus EX i really never liked shaymin in this format but you can use it its just my luck sometimes i start with it about 2/5 games
