I played in VA, and I played lots of mirror. This is why an anti meta deck could easily work.
I don't think it can be BDIF with Terrakion in the format. The Aura Is With Me 8 said:ZekEels is popular for a good reason, it's the BDIF. It has even matchups across the board, is very conistent and very fast.
Terrakion is a problem, but Zekeels has access to Tornadus and Zapdos.Celebi23 said:I don't think it can be BDIF with Terrakion in the format.
I was more talking about Terrakion techs. The way to beat straight Terrakion is using Mewtwo EX. Celebox is good, but Zekeels has more versatility with its attackers. It can use Tornadus, Zapdos, Zekrom, Zekrom EX, Zebstrika, Thundurus, and Mewtwo EX. It also accelerates from the discard, which is generally better than the hand. Late game is also stronger. I personally use Zebstrika, it's so underplayed and awesome.Celebi23 said:A couple Zapdos and/or Tornadus won't be enough for you to beat straight Terrakion. Imo Celebox is the BDIF right now, it's just less played than Durant and ZekEels because people haven't realized it yet. Having split weaknesses fit naturally into your deck is a huge advantage, not to mention that you get super-solid energy acceleration with no setup. It means no auto-losses, generally good hands, great speed, and a fair amount of potential for comeback wins if piloted well.
The format is much more closed off now than it was last format because the EX cards are so dominant. This is very restricting, and that's not going to change. But if things go as I predict they will, the format will open up a little more for Celebox and a couple other decks.
