Energy – 11

7 Lightning
4 Double Colorless

Strategy:

Normal strategy of ZPST, starting with Tornadus charging zekrom, charge with tech pachi+shaymin.

I am playing cheren over juniper because i think juniper is a big threat at the begining of the game, so cheren will give you 3 cards without any request.

About cleffa dont know whats better cleffa or tyrogue since with a bad hand you can pull cleffa and refresh hand but with tyrogue you can get a donk on cleffa or other 30HP pokemon.

Suggestions welcome XD

Thanks,

-1 Cleffa
-1 Seeker
-4 Cheren
-1 Retrieval
-3 Energy Search

+1 Tyrogue
+1 Sage's
+5 Lightning Energy
+1 Juniper
+2 SSU

Energy Search is so pointless in this deck. The only time a deck would EVER need energy search is if you run more than one type of basic energy. In a mono energy deck, a basic energy does better as it can't be locked and you already have it in hand.

You could stand run another Juniper or two. You want to be able to thin out your deck fast. Granted, the discard could screw you over so I can understand not running to rely on it too much. However, two would be better than just one. Juniper is in many ways, a pinch card, and you can't rely on a card in a pinch if it's a one of. Cheren on the other hand, while a very good card, usually doesn't sift through a ZPST deck fast enough to work ideally.

I'd consider a couple more collector and one or two less dual ball (3/3, 4/3, or 4/2 of collector/dual ball respectively). The guaranteed search is nice unless you're constantly scoring heads on flip. Junk Arm lets you reuse dual ball as well, so you can retry a whiffed attempt. I run two, but I could understand running 3.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this deck needs more energy. Most Zekrom decks run something like 10-13 lightning energy along with 3-4 DCE, and it's usually closer to 13 than 10. This is one of the rare decks you want to start with a good amount of energy in your hand to make the T1 Bolt Strike/Hurricane go over easier. Since ZPST runs purely basics, I've found that more often than not, I'm PONTing or Junipering for energy than I am for my pokemon.

I'd run SSU over Seeker. It can pick up the active and doesn't use your supporter slot. If you need to scoop up something right away and don't top deck the seeker, you're kind of screwed since you'll have to draw into it and wait a turn. At least with SSU, you got a chance to scoop up, and picking up the active can be really important imho.

I vote for Tyrogue personally. ZPST is meant to hit hard and fast/ Tyrogue can get a guaranteed donk on babies. This is useful given how setting up Zekrom or even Tornadus T1 can be difficult on occasion. Simply running collector and retreat to Tyrogue to donk Cleffa would be much more convenient. Cleffa I find it better for setup decks, or decks that at least run Stage 2s, such as Reshiphlosion or Gothetelle.

I play a similar build to this, however I agree with some of Magnevires changes.

-3 Energy Search (These could be Energy instead)
-1 Pokemon Catcher (You run Junk Arm.)
-2 PONT (In favor of the more consistent Juniper.)
-1 Energy Retrieval (This could be another Collector for early game set up.)
-1 Tornadus (Do I really need to say? Tornadus is good, yes, but Zekrom is much much better. Especially with defender. Speaking of that...)
-4 Cheren (Much too slow for a Zekrom / Tornadus Build. You want consistent Junipers and PONTs and early Collectors.)

Now... With all that space!

+1 Defender (It's truly a brilliant card at three for Zekrom. Generally, I like using all three at once to give Donphan or Magnezone a big pain in the neck.)
+2 Collector (Starting with these is a good alternative when you fail on Dual Balls.)
+3 Juniper (Simply ridiculously consistent and useful almost always. If you don't want to waste a Shaymin or Pachirisu, don't be afraid to drop them on the bench to pick up with a Super Scoop or Seeker.)
+3 Electric Energy (More starts with it is more better for Pachirisu + Shaymin combo!)
+1 Seeker (Nice for a cheap donk now and then, also recovering used P/S or removing Cleffa from the catcher equation.)
+2 Super Scoop Up OR +1 / Switch +1 PONT.

Thanks for help, i dont personally like playing juniper as a early game draw card i prefer PONT so i think 4 PONT 2 juniper will be good for me what you think ?

Thanks for suggestions, what you think about 1 seeker 1 SSU ? I really dont have luck with coins

-2 Defender

+2 Eviolite

Since ZPST ia all basics, Eviolite is like a better version of Defender :)
