Standard Zygarde-EX Disruption

Hey,

I'd like to improve my Zygarde-EX list somehow. It works fine unless I'm playing against a grass type deck which is an autoloss for me. But thats okay, I'm just playing casually online.

This is the list:

##Pokémon - 11

* 1 Oranguru SUM 113
* 1 Shaymin-EX ROS 77
* 1 Regirock-EX FAC 43
* 2 Carbink-BREAK FAC 51
* 2 Carbink FAC 50
* 4 Zygarde-EX PR-XY XY151

##Trainers - 39

## Supporters - 10
* 4 Prof. Sycamore BKP 107
* 2 N FAC 105
* 2 Lysandre AOR 78
* 1 Olympia GEN 66
* 1 Delinquent BKP 98

## Items - 22
* 4 Trainers-Mail ROS 92
* 4 Crushing HammerEPO 92
* 4 Hyperball DEX 102
* 1 Super rod BKT 149
* 2 Nestball SUM 123
* 1 Special -charge STS 105
* 2 Enhanced hammer PHF 94
* 4 VS Seeker PHF 109

## Stadium - 2
* 2 Parallelcity BKT 145

## Tools - 5
* 3 Fighting Furry Belt BKP 99
* 2 Float stone BKT 137

##Energy - 10

* 4 Strength-Energie FFI 104
* 6 Fighting-Energie XYEnergy 3

Total: - 60

My goal is to disrupt my opponent to be able to set up my Zygarde-EX and 2HKO most of the opponents. It's quite simple. Carbink is for Energy recylcing, Zygarde-EX is for attacking. Regirock-EX is to further stack damage, but I'm not sure if its really worth it to include because it's sometimes difficult if it gets lysanderd into the active spot. Shaymin and Oranguru are for draw support.

I'm open for any idea to improve my list! Thanks in advance!

Well you're just flat out missing out but not using the power memory for zygarde and 4 zygardes are likely more than you need. Also special charge doesn't make sense when carbink can just put them back on.

I too run a Zygarde EX deck with Carbink BREAK and Hammers. Following are a few comments for your consideration:
  • IMO, Regirock EX is more of a liability than an asset. Consider running Professor Kukui for needed damage output boost instead. Also, Regirock EX is a prime Lysandre target - when opponents need to buy time. To help get it out of the active position, you'll need more switching cards than your 1 Olympia.
  • 4 Crushing Hammer have a 50% chance of failure on each one or 100% chance of failure if you're Item-locked. I'd suggest replacing 1 with a Team Flare Grunt (reusable via VS Seeker).
  • DEX (listed with the Hyperball) rotated-out of the current Standard format play. Further, what is Hyperball? Is this card forthcoming in the next set? Please explain what it does, because I don't believe it has ever been released in recent years (apologies if it has) at least here in this country.
Have you considered running 3 Puzzle of Time in order to help maintain the disruption?

For switching out Regirock if you still choose to use it, I'd also consider Float Stones. Same for mitigating the retreat cost of other Pokemon.

Hyper Ball may be referring to Ultra Ball, seeing as that is its name in some languages.

Hyperball is French name for Ultra Ball I believe. Right now I like the Promo Lycanroc GX over Zygarde but the whole text is relatively the same and I run 1-2 Zygarde in my Lycanroc deck. You will absolutely need a non-EX attacker and Carbink just will not cut it damage why if they have EX immunity.

If you are so worried about grass right now then then run 1-2 policy for Decideuye, and either a 1-1 Marowak line or a 2-2-2 Marowak Break line for Vileplume. It'll leave them item locked and you not. If you stay with Zygarde definitely run 2-2-2, and more consistency items like acro bike or trainers mail.

You should also probably run 1 Lysandre and maybe escape ropes instead of float stones if you want to run Fight Fury Belts. Field Blower should replace your stadiums and Delinquent when it comes out too. Happy to help, and hope I don't come across as harsh.

Professor Kukui is another good alternative vs. Regirock EX, IMO, which seems to be major Lysandre target. In my area, there's lots of Item-locking and Decidueye GX deck players really like to Feather Arrow behind heavy-retreating Pokémon like Regirock EX.

To maintain the disruption, I also run 4 Puzzle of Time.

I'd also suggest consider running at least 1 Hex Maniac to provide a counter to your opponent's use of his/her Pokémon Abilities (e.g., Vileplume)
