So um, was this a mini Dialga, or full sized, because I am just laughing at a Dialga trying to fit in, having people be all like "Hey, isn't that Dialga" and Aulus just saying "Nope, don't know what you are talking about" before trying to casually walk/run away. Bonus points for fake nose, mustache and glass-less glasses.

Further more if it is a full sized Dialga, then our train just got really really big.

Mini-Dialga. Same body proportions, but height reduced to 2.15 meters. Still big by regular Pokémon standards, but can (?) fit in a train. Of course, his original body is 5.4 meters.

BTW, Pokémon rules state only one per Legendary Pokémon in the Pokémon universe at any time (unless Palkia screws up the space-time continuum to play a prank), so the other Pokémon are naturally clueless.

(If you don't know what I'm getting at with the Lord of the Rings rip-off thing, Gandalf is not a human, but a low-ish level angel. Analogical, Q.E.D.)

Except for the fact that Latios and Latias always exist at the same time, as does Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza.

Hmmmm this makes for interesting flavor :p
Also, everyone: Since it doesn't look like this will be filled, feel free to make 'second entries.' These will be NPC used if no one sign ups by the end of the weekend.
When all spots will be filled, we can begin.

Whoops, I meant "one Legendary species per universe."

Hmm...working on it.

Role: Porter
Pokémon: Lilligant
Nature: Timid

Background: Lilligant was always a quiet Pokémon, content on straightening up and doing jobs that would please other people. Things like bringing food for the sick or cooking worked well, because she was an excellent cook. People loved seeing Lilligant show up and offer help for an hour or 2, and they would often reward her with berries, or items, or even money. But most of all she loved seeing their smile when they tasted her food, or looked in awe at a room that was so messy a few minutes ago. When she was old enough, she got a job at a train so she could go all around the country making other people happy, helping them with their baggage, and even cleaning their rooms and delivering food. One day, a Vileplume boarded the train, and Lilligant offered to take her luggage, Vileplume declined. Lilligant was offended, but she decided that Vileplume might just want to keep her luggage with her for privacy reasons. However, as Vileplume walked up the stairs onto the train, she dropped a journal. Lilligant picked up the journal, but then Vileplume went to her compartment. Lilligant followed and knocked on vileplume's door, presenting the book. Vileplume went breserk, snatching the notebook back before attacking Lilligant with poison. Electivire found Lilligant, almost dead, outside and healed her. Lilligant, while always cheerful, could still be thinking, plotting, but who knows? Now at full health, she has resumed her duties, but always asks Houndoom to take care of Vileplume. Perhaps she just wants to avoid Vileplume so she doesn't murder the Grass/Poison type?

Moves: Sleep Powder, Quiver Dance, Petal Dance, HP Rock

Here's an NPC:

Role
: Fireman

Pokemon: Blastoise (Brooks)

Nature: Bold

Background:

Always a tough but aloof individual, Brooks was always well respected ever since he was a little Squirtle. His friends, though agreeing that he wasn't always the most analytical or reasonable Pokémon to deal with, thought highly of him, and respected his boldness and bravery, often in times of brawling with his enemies.

However, following his evolution into Wartortle and disappearance of his mother, Brooks went mad for a few days, until he was able to devise a plan to rescue her with the general labor of Liligant, the seductive cuteness of Togepi, and the shear brunt and power of Empoleon (who was still Prinplup back then).

Together, they busted into the fortress on a small island, said to have contained the many hostages of a mad Pokémon and defeated all the Cryogonal guarding the hallways -- and came face to face with a giant flower. This flower used Toxic, and the group managed to escape. However, they wouldn't have made it if it wasn't for the many Berries Brooks carried with him (as his father advised, "You never know when you'll need 'em).

With his mother still missing and all resolve crushed, Brooks headed back home, only to find his home ransacked and his father lying on the floor, blood splattered all around him...in the shape of the same mad Pokémon on the island. In his rage, Brooks evolved into Blastoise and Hydro Pump-ed his house down.

Forced into orphanage, though at the age of 16, Brooks found work on a train as a fireman, and he was re-united with three of his old friends. One day, five years later, when he heard that a Vileplume was on board, Brooks smiled to himself. Perhaps he would be able to get down to the bottom of this...

Moves: Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Iron Defense, Bite

How old is Brooks? I just want know if he has been on the train long so I can add him to Seir's backstory

Just edited the entry to better reflect his age. Brooks was 16 when he started work on the train as a fireman, and he's 21 right now.

NPC

Role:
Engineer

Pokemon:
Excadrill (Hedron)

Nature:
Quirky

Background:
Known as the unorthodox engineer, (or so he tells others and himself) Hedron worked for many years in the engineering business. Boats, Trains, even Pokemon's first foray into full planes (Trying to fly around a Steelix ended that dream very quickly, and thus Pokemon Airlines has still not picked back up). What may be weird about this one might ask? Well the fact that Hedron knows nothing about engineering. Nothing at all. His method of fixing involves Hitting the machine, Hidden Power Electric and that was pretty much it. Yet he made his way through this career becoming almost renowned within the community due to his secret methods of fixing machines. He has done so well that employers don't even seem to mind that their 10+ year lasting machines only last for 5 or 6.

Now how did he get into this job? Well his first employer met him, thought he was a mad scientist and assumed he must be good with technology and from there, that became his life. His first paycheck over psyched him, drawing him further into his Quirky personality. Roughly a year after this event he was fired for knowing nothing, but that didn't stop a Nidoking hiring him to keep an underground Lighting System from breaking. However during a raid on the fighting pit he kept out of the dark, he was given up, spending a year in jail but was let out early for fixing the prison power generator. Swearing revenge on any Pokemon that were present at the time. When he found out where the Houndoom, known within his fighting ring worked, he went out of his way to try and get a job on that same train. Several years passed before the previous engineer quit, and finally Hedron found his time fitting as none other than his old Boss Nidoking and his second in command Vileplume also boarded the train.

Revenge is a dish best served with Marshmellows

Moves
:
Hidden Power Electric, Earthquake, Iron Head, Shadow Claw

It looks like there aren't enough entries, so I'll make another NPC:

Role: Trainman

Pokemon: Klinklang (Gears)

Nature: Naughty

Background:

Gears has always been a useful Pokémon.

As a Klink, he had autism, and he frequently talked to himself (having two heads), resulting in his being a psychopath.

He was always troublesome at school, and loved to play pranks on people. He especially had a knack for SABOTAGE!

He sabotaged everything at his school, from the printer, sinks, and toilets to the computers and pipes. Eventually, his school was a barren wasteland, and rumors spread, advising schools not to accept this "school saboteur." This led to his expulsion from many schools.

Nevertheless, Gears was quite bright, and was very enthusiastic about science, especially electrical and mechanical engineering. He could solve nearly any problem thrown at him, and baffled his former teachers with his skill and intellect.

One day, when working as Vileplume's lab assistant, she flew into a rage, seemingly without reason, and mercilessly attempted to poison Gears. Being a Steel-type, Gears left unscathed, but was nevertheless very pissed off, and swore to get even with Vileplume. He soon gained PTSD and had to meet several therapists before he regained his identity.

Many years later, at the age of 40, Gears was working as a trainman on a train when he saw a Vileplume board. She gave Gears a foul look and used Mega Drain on him, but again, Gears survived. This made Gears even more determined to Gear Grind Vileplume into pulp...

Moves: Shift Gear, Flash Cannon, Toxic, Hyper Beam

Role: Passenger

Pokemon: Gengar (Gertrude)

Nature: Quirky

Background:

Gertrude is -- not to put too fine a point on it -- weird. She has ever the strangest, most self-contradicting personality.

She loves the unorthodox. Strangely, she hates eating dreams (apparently, she finds them too bitter most of the time). Furthermore, she prefers not to hang out near other Gengar. Gertrude also tends to laugh at the most random things...or sometimes, at nothing.

However, she is still highly trained in the dark arts. Aside for the usual Sucker Punch and Shadow Ball, she is also able to Sludge Bomb her opponents and burn them to a crisp with Will-O-Wisp. She also seems to be capable of mind-reading and manipulation of time-space within a sphere of radius 10 feet, but she denies it. She just wants to fit in.

Speaking of which, Gertrude was rather shy as a Gastly, then very aggressive as a Haunter. Then she ate too many Rare Candy, which might explain her state of mind...until the moment when Vileplume crept into her house and sucked the life out of Gertrude with Mega Drain.

Gertrude was left absolutely distraught after the assault, and has since vowed to suck the life out of Vileplume...

Moves: Sucker Punch, Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Will-O-Wisp

Well, yes, you CAN outgrow autism. Except OUTGROW might be the wrong word for it.

Source: I have autism.
It takes 1 to know 1. And yes, outgrow is the wrong word.

Role: Passenger

Nature: Lonely

Pokémon: Glaceon [Oyuki]

Background: Oyuki has a big secret. She is in love. But she isn't in love with who anyone thinks. When Oyuki was just an Eevee, she fell sick to a supposedly incurable disease. Her family was told that the disease was contagious and that she had only a few days to live. On her final day, a Lilligant came to their door asking if she could
do anything at all to help. She sat down by the dying Oyuki and did the impossible. She cured her using a special aroma from her flower. Oyuki lived, and was eternally grateful. Soon later, Oyuki evolved into Glaceon. She kept in contact with Lilligant, playing with her in her free time, and the two became very close. Oyuki, however, knew her feelings ran deeper than just friendship. She loved Lilligant. One day, Lilligant moved away to work on a train, telling Oyuki she'd write every time they came to a new stop, and send a picture [Lilligant was an amazing artist]. Oyuki wrote back, too nervous to come out and say how she felt. One day, Lilligant sent a letter containing a train ticket and a story about how she was attacked by a Vileplume. Oyuki was furious. How dare some Vileplume attack her beloved? She took the ticket, secretly swearing revenge on Vileplume, but overjoyed to see Lilligant again.

Moves: Hail, Wish, Blizzard, Protect
Yes, Oyuki is LGBT. Also, @Vom, can player characters have control over their NPCs?

Only if your original character dies. Nothing will happen until tonight though, I've got exams and I have to study.
