It's quite rare nowdays for people to be still here. Look at Blah; he started out as a newbie, and he ended up being a Contributor. That's not something you see everydays.

Look around you; do you see many newbies joining and staying for a amount of time?

What I'm trying to say is, you joined in January and stayed for almost eight months. Not many people stick around for that long.
