Did you look up tutorials on how to use it? Because I didn't when I learned how to use Photoshop. I just experimented and boom, there it is.

I like the effects that comes with it, but unfortunately, I hate the controls that you have to learn to do things with it.
I don't have GIMP and I haven't used it before. Currently, I'm using Photoshop CS6.
