Drohn, Its a southern Japanese thing, plus I bet you don't look, sound, or act like an American, so you got that going for you! I miss my home. I was quite a ways south of where you are now, but I would think that the Ryukyu culture is pretty strong in Kyushu. I hope you aren't allergic to cherry blossoms! They are nearly in season and I HIGHLY suggest you find a tour to see groves of them. Also do not be afraid to try dried sour cherries. They are effing delicious, but look like dried rat testicles...
