What about moves/abilities/EVs/ect?
Do those stick with each particular pokémon, or can that be changed leader by leader?
Because they could stay with each particular pokémon, and we just each keep a log book of sorts.
I would:
Keep a record of a Pokémon's known moves, ability, and level, but let the leaders freely change the EVs.
15 sounds about right.
I believe the point would be that each kingdom starts with that type.
If it were a real war, trading pokémon would be a really big deal.
As it stands, this will be nothing like the challenge. You're cutting off so much socialization right here.
You could say that pokémon must be over a certain level to be traded. Level 10 or 15 maybe, so that we are stuck with our starters for a while. However, making them untradable doesn't make any sense.
I really think you should allow free trading between kingdoms.
Not only does it make sense, it opens up more strategic thinking. Plus, in any true war, there were always alliances. This will definitely split up the kingdoms for better or worse.
It'll be like the challenge in a way, which should be very entertaining for you.
You just said in-thread we could trade pokémon with each other. -
