iisnumber12, I've won states twice in the past, though in the 2009-2010 season. One thing I've learned is that the farther ahead I prepare for a format, the better I do. For example, in the 2010-2011 format, I didn't start playtesting, doing TCG card reviews and such before the format started. Because of this, I failed big time in that season because I wasn't prepared. In formats before and after that, I have mostly wins/top cuts because I prepared by playtesting and thinking of deck possibilities before the format actually started.
