without time period of evolution girls would be terrified of this guy
Both. Cabinet shops run an increased risk of fire because of all the chemical solvents they use to varnish and treat the wood they use to make things with. They're supposed to also be extra careful about where they leave their dirty rags and stuff so they don't get exposed to an open flame or heat source, which would cause them to instantly combust. The cause of the fire this time wasn't really determined, but it's thought to have started in the roof since that's where the blaze was first spotted before it actually engulfed the building.

and what about carboniferous time period
That's how it used to be in a lot of towns in my area. Currently, though, the only new construction is on a building that just burned down in an overnight fire last week. It was a cabinet-making business just up the road from my house. Sadly, that wasn't the first time it burned down either. Other than that, anything else I see is just renovation projects.
Pretty common now. I used to work a lot of new construction while I was still in college (and even quite a bit during summers in high school), but when the housing market took a nosedive back in 2008 or so, new construction jobs became a rarity and the basis of my work has been remodels, replacements, and additions. Some jobs are really nice to work on, while others are either so-so or just dumps... Sorry if that sounds harsh of me to say about my work, but I've never liked having to redo jobs that either my dad installed years ago or ones that someone else did that we have to contend with now.
Pretty much. A lot of rental properties in my area are old, rundown, and/or trashed by the time I get to them. The only thing that was slightly different about this one is that it may be up for sale in the eventual future. Despite all the renovating that's going on in it, I see it getting bought and tore down myself just because of all the issues I mentioned with it.
Both, actually. I have been in homes where they had additions put onto an older part of the building while nothimg else got done and it wasn't up to code. Likewise, I've seen ones that got completely redone because they were so bad/old, and others that were supposed to be refurbished but only had small stuff done like painting. The place I was at was sort of a dumpy old farmhouse. Some doorways were widened from what they originally were, which I could see based on how the carpeting was cut off where some of the original walls were. The stairways were narrow and the ceilings were low (like I mentioned). Also some of the subfloor that I had to go over was rotting out. It was a rental, though, so it's kind of typical conditions to me.
Deus: Nightmare Autarch, Another one of my favorites! It's such an awesome theme for Robo Ky.
