Moved to deck garage, for feedback on a 60 card deck.

Discussion Hot Techs for After Rotation

I can't think of a reason someone would play a 4x garbodor line, when it's only use is ability lock. 4 of them is 8 cards total that just serve as bench sitters, which can is a huge amount of space for no offensive value.

New Player Looking for an Empoleon Explanation

It can certainly be a bit tricky to play. You have to whittle your hand down to just that card by playing stuff/burning cards with Ultra Ball. Additionally, you have to get the Empoleon into your discard, again through discarding with Ultra Ball, Sycamore, Battle Compressor, or something...

New Player Looking for an Empoleon Explanation

Archie's Ace In the Hole can be used to pull any water type pokemon (except for a BREAK) out of the discard pile, and put it directly onto the bench, without having to go through the stages of evolution. Basic, Stage 1, Stage 2, and Mega Pokemon EX can all be brought into play this way. This...

News 'Rayquaza vs. Keldeo Battle Arena Deck' in September!

The one thing I don't like about this packages is that it will surely impact the collectibility and value of VS Seeker. While in the long run, accessibility is probably more valuable on the whole to the game than collectibility, the collector in me that has hoarded a bunch of VS Seekers is...

New Player - Formats and Looking for Decklists

You're in the right place all right! First, on your question of formats. Standard is indeed like you describe; the most recent 8 -12+ sets are included. For the season starting September 1st, this will include all sets from Primal Clash through Steam Siege, and all XY promo cards with numbers...

    Talonflame/Typhlosion budget build

Super Rod might be nice too, in case you have a KO on a typhlosion, and need to get one back in deck. Getting the energy back in there ain't gonna hurt, either.

    Talonflame/Typhlosion budget build

With all that energy, would a single Volcanion EX be useful, just to help tip the scales on KOing EXes when you only hit two fire on the Flare Destroy?

Wi-Fi Trades 6 IV Ditto Giveaway!

I'll take one! I'm just starting out on the road to competitive, so this is a fantastic leg up! As to which nature is most appropriate, it's pretty hard to discern what would be of highest value; seems like either Adamant or Modest would be useful; any advice on that front?

Best Way to Get Shaymin-EX for League Challenges

I'm afraid that if you need the real McCoy, your only option is to pay, trade, or borrow from someone you know and who trusts you for the duration of the event. LCs are sanctioned, so only authentic Pokemon cards are premitted for use.

    Discussion Palkia EX Viability Post-Rotation

Regarding strong water hitters, Auroros EX (XY102) has some potential. It has an annoying odd turns restriction on its attacks (though that can be dealt with with ranger easily enough,) and with an FFB it hits for 170, which ain't 1/2 bad. Hard to Get it to the 180/220 sweet spots though.

News 'Rayquaza vs. Keldeo Battle Arena Deck' in September!

Even with their being older cards unfit for standard, these are the most excellent introduction tools to the game. They're not just filler and unusable evo lines like the theme decks; they actually let a new player understand some slightly more complex ideas, like draw support. My only gripe is...

Worlds Restricted to Invitees and Family Only; Stream Schedule

How has spectating worked in the past? Has public access to the main event been useful at all? Maybe their reduction of attendance will allow them to focus more on things like more streams, and keeping the event itself more streamlined.

Help in Building a Mega Mewtwo Deck

M mewtwo is nice in that it's energy requirement for Psychic Infinity is colorless, so it pairs easily with many things. I'm a fan of a Zoroark/Yveltal pairing myself. 2-2 Zoroark line, 2 Yveltal EX, and one each of the baby bacon birds. I round those and 3-3 M Mewtwo line out with 2 Shaymin EX...

    Discussion Xerneas BREAK's Future

I think the dual types for Rainbow Force is actually a bit of a false start, tbh. Hoopa EX can draw out 3 other EXes in one turn; if you're trying to use the dual types, you've got to deal with the messiness of evolution. A couple Evosoda and Wally can be helpful, but you've still got a...

    Discussion Xerneas BREAK's Future

I'm of the opinion that Xerneas BREAK/Xerneas STS/Dragons is where it's at. Max elixir x 4, DDE x 4, and a 1-2 combination of Hydregion EX/Giratina EX provide great niche support (Hydregion for breaking blockers, Tina for blocking megas.) One Xerneas in active providing geomancy services to...

    Discussion MGardevoir/Xerneas/?

Are you looking to create a standard deck for the 2017 season, standard for 2016 (which is tournament legal until September 1st), or Expanded? That could significantly change the types of cards recommended. Also, what M Gardevoir are you looking to use? Primal Clash, or Steam Siege?

Discussion Hot Techs for After Rotation

I absolutely love a one off Giovanni's Scheme in a deck. The option of drawing up to 5, or increasing damage output by 20 gives it fantastic flexibility, based on your needs at the time you've got it in hand. One could argue that the draw up to 5 is lacking compared to other draw supporters...
