Yep, you have to discard it. However if you are running low on energies, you can use meteor falls or memory berry and the fire charmeleon from CG to use rage. It worked well for me at the prerelease, but that was only a prerelease...

Does Shiftry's (LM) pokepower allow you to return a shiftry ex to your hand? I know that it says ANY shiftry, but shiftry ex isn't really a shiftry (well it is technically).
