    Speed Donphan

Yes Heatmor can become a dead draw, but if you're considering playing Ruins of Alph and you come across ZekEels or any form of Dark's, then it's the same principle. Durant players can guarantee Catcher simply because unless it's a mirror match (which in this case it isn't), they'll just feed...

    Speed Donphan

Why bother with all of that when you could just use Heatmor which has one less Energy requirement and one less retreat? Durant's a very situational game designed to mill your resources, you can't guarantee on drawing a Switch where as they can on a Catcher. The bottom line with Reshiram here...

    Speed Donphan

Apologies, I didn't see the Super Rod on first glance. I'm still kind of confused on why you're running Reshiram. One energy for an instant Durant sweep is too good to pass down. Remembering that with an Eviolite or Special {M} or even both, I feel Heatmor is the better play here IMO as...

    Speed Donphan

More Ruins of Alph, it'll help tremendously against CMT with Mewtwo EX not being a bad tech either. With only having one in there, they'll just play a Skyarrow Bridge over it. I personally disagree with Zekrom, just because you're going to need to recoil enough damage to power up its Outrage. By...

Donphan - Could it do well in a post-DE format?

Yanmega? Donphan will only hit for 40 on a Tornadus however, Yanmega hitting for 70 will finish the job obviously without the Eviolite. I know there has been talk of possibly including Aerodactyl in there as well. I personally don't know what EX's you could include. Groudon might be the obvious...

    It Should Work....(Empoleon/Terrakion)

RE: It Should Work.... Ah, I see. Point taken but I'm not sure "destroy" is the correct word to use here.

    Ambipom/Weavile minus the Ambipom

I thought the idea of this deck was to stop your opponent from setting up? Surely you'd need Zebstrika in that case to prevent them from using any Trainers and while you deplete their resources. Then possibly whilst in the early(ish) game attempt to set up a secondary attacker for the sweep? I...

Battle Roads: ZekEels with a twist?

Here are the changes I've made: -3 Prism -1 Shaymin EX -1 Pokemon Catcher -1 Switch -2 Pokemon Communication +1 Terrakion +1 Level Ball +1 N +1 DCE +1 Lightning Energy +3 Fighting Energy I can't help but feel a second Terrakion will help add consistency as well a better match...

    It Should Work....(Empoleon/Terrakion)

RE: It Should Work.... I don't get it, how does Empoleon destroy Mewtwo? It's a Stage 2 meaning it'll take longer to set up and it only does max 120 damage with not even that guaranteed.

Battle Roads: ZekEels with a twist?

This is the deck I've been testing with recently and it seems to be working fine so far: Pokemon: 1 - Zekrom EX (ND) 3 - Zekrom (BLW) 4 - Tynamo (NV) 3 - Eelektrik (NV) 1 - Terrakion (NV) 2 - Mewtwo EX (ND) 1 - Shaymin EX (ND) Trainers: 1 - PokeGear 3.0 (HGSS) 4 - Junk Arm (Triumphant) 1...

    Beartic and Blastoise

I actually played against a deck similar to this at Battle Roads which did surprisingly quite well. It had the Blastoise with Floatzel engine whilst also running Kyurem in there. I'm personally not sold on Beartic. IMO, Beartic needs Switch and Vileplume, however obviously the to counteract each...

Battle Roads: ZekEels with a twist?

I'm still testing this currently, however I am starting to think one is probably the better play. With a single Zekrom EX and the two Mewtwo's, I think five EX's would be far too many.

Battle Roads: ZekEels with a twist?

I'd probably cut down on the Terrakion if any knowing that the Shaymin EX would cover the weaker spots of the deck and along with that, decrease the Prism line up. Would you still suggest that one Shaymin EX is optimum without the Terrakion and the inclusion of Zekrom EX? Thanks in advance...

Battle Roads: ZekEels with a twist?

So I'm wanting to run this for Battle Roads however, I have thrown in a few techs: Pokemon: 3 - Zekrom (BLW) 4 - Tynamo (NV) 3 - Eelektrik (NV) 2 - Terrakion (NV) 2 - Mewtwo EX (ND) 2 - Shaymin EX (ND) Could possibly go down to 1? Trainers: 1 - PokeGear 3.0 (HGSS) 4 - Junk Arm (Triumphant)...

    Donphan/Yanmega for Battle Roads?

Mainly for the hand refreshment. Generally speaking if your opponent has say four cards in hand, it's not usually that difficult to match their hand size. On top of that, Copycat does have it's limitations with not being able play anything after being used as you're wanting to attack with...

    Zekrom Eelektrik

You've kinda lost me here, how are you certain that you're taking two prizes unless you're knocking out two Terrakion or anything else with a grass weakness? Perhaps a two shot on another EX, but I'm not sure even that's a certainty. Saying you had six prizes to your opponents three and then...

    Zekrom Eelektrik

I was actually thinking if I was to play this deck, whether it'd be worth adding in a Terrakion or if not, perhaps Virizion or Shaymin EX? Obviously the benefits of having Terrakion would be the mirror and Virizion, for countering Terrakion, (which is seeing a lot of play). I don't believe...

    Donphan/Yanmega for Battle Roads?

I actually did consider playing N but was then unsure due to already having Judge in there and as for the Switch, I'd definitely take it down if I was also decreasing the Donphan line. I initially thought Max Potion was a great idea due to Donphan only using the single Energy and Yanmega not...

    Donphan/Yanmega for Battle Roads?

While I definitely agree on making Mewtwo more playable, I would have a couple of concerns that I would need to address: 1) Taking down a Phanpy decreases your basics, so I'm not sure if it's worth running 4-3 line of Donphan to prevent yourself starting with a Mewtwo? 2) Something I...
