Because in that case they should remake FireRed/LeafGreen since they're older than DP. The remakes do have to stop sometime.

Why would they remake it for the DS family when the DS family is dead? Why not just wait and do it for the 3DS after Gen VI, which would make it the most graphically updated remake as opposed to putting it in the same boat as HGSS right out of the gate? Are you also expecting them to remake...

Oh, god. Cockreon just no. For those two I'd prefer something like Arthreon and Bansheon.

The previous eeveelutions have all been special types (before the physical/special split) with the exception of Dragon. That's why I think Dragon would be the only one that would make sense.
