N's whole deal in Black and White 1 was that he didn't like using pokemon for battles and really only wanted to befriend them. Every N battle in the game he had an entirely new team, usually based around what is catchable in that area of the game. He probably releases pokemon he catches often...

They must think that you would never swing before using its 3 type attack, so then why would it matter if the pokemon retreats? Do they think that Retreat lock is worth a colorless? This card doesn't seem very well thought out.

Yeah that's the point unfortunately, they have to give a reason to make you pay for a subscription which is fair enough. The site gives enough information already without it so I'd say its warranted.

Some japanese sets fully exclude certain types at times, putting more in the next set after. I'm assuming its just to keep sets somewhat varied. 2 sets ago we had night watcher which was "dark types the set" and the set after paradise dragona is 'supercharged breaker' the "pikachu electric set"...

I think it was less of them being worried about regidrago, but more about trying to have a varied dragon set. All 6 ex cards are dragon (dragon adjacent at least with B kyurem) pokemon in the game. I think its great that they didn't take the easy way out and say "dragon set so all dragon go go go".

Me too to be honest. But I'd rather wait 5 years for a finished and great game then having another BDSP on our hands.
