    Unlimited or Modified?

I'm unlimited ALL THE WAY! Younger, I lost interest in Pokémon when the EX's came out. Now, I play from Base set up to the Neo Format with 2 of my friends. Though I use newer cards, mostly energies and some Pokémon (from the firsts 251), I prefer older cards, since I think today's cards are too...

    Ruling Misunderstandings and Mistakes.

Thank you, you cleared things up. Just to give you the idea, I was referring to the base set Porygon. It has an attack called conversion that lets you change the weakness of the defending pokémon, if he has any. Hoppip was just an example for his weakness/resistance.

Wrong. Ecogym is activated whenever an attack, trainer or pokémon power discard an energy card attached to a pokemon. That means you don't have to rely on your opponent's action to use this effect. Any trainer cards needing you to discard an energy card attached to your pokemon in order to work...

    Ruling Misunderstandings and Mistakes.

I've read the Compendium but couldn't find an answer for my question, so here it goes: I have Porygon (conversion 1) as my active pokémon and my opponent have Hoppip (weak: fire, resist: fighting) as his active pokémon. I use conversion 1 to change his weakness to fighting. What happens...

Geez, this Omastar is wicked. I thought about using Aerodactyl with a promo Mew in a deck. Mew's attack, devolution beam would allow me to bring down my opponent's evolution, though at a much slower pace than with Omastar. Have any of you guys checked out Ecogym from the Neo Genesis set? I...

Wow, I'm pleased to know some people still care about the good ol' days of Pokémon TCG. I miss a few cards to complete my Base, Jungle, Fossil and Rocket collection (most of them being Holofoils I already have non-holo). My Goal is to complete my collection up to the end of the Neo format. I'm...

I've read somewhere there is sometime unlimited format matches during competitions. Am I right or did I misread? If I'm right, do they happen often or are they totally random matches? That's what I thought, too. Newer sets are pretty powerful, but some older cards are a force to be reckoned...

Not only do I collect them, but I also frequently play with my friends. Are the first formats playable at tournaments or not? We would like to try our decks competitively against other players. Do you think old formats stands a chance against all those new Diamond/Pearl sets ?

How many of you still play/collect older series of Pokémon TCG? I play with cards ranging from Base to the Neo collection + some newer cards bought on Ebay with my friends.
