    Format Overlook

I definitely recommend trying it out. In Celebi's Back to Basics thread, he posted a link to his site which has all the cards. The decks are all fun to play and we're still playing even without the release of new cards in the past few months.

    Format Overlook

Sadly it's been 4 months since Celebi came out with a new set of cards for the Back To Basics project. However, the format is still popular in my local area at our league. It's still played on the side at our league. It gives us a nice refreshing break from the regulate Pokemon TCG and allows us...

    Decks

RE: Back to Basics: Decks It basically used Ditto EX to use Venusaur EX's attack plus it used a Metagross EX and Umbreon EX for their attacks as well. It used Advantage Energy plus any basic energy will be different than Ditto's type. The pokemon line was something along the lines of 4 Ditto...

    Decks

RE: Back to Basics: Decks So a few other people and I at our locals brought this up and it caught on. It's fun and refreshing to have all these new strategies that seem much more balanced. The other day we decided to do a tournament with these cards. The top 2 decklists were as followed. First...

    (1) All 'Dragon Selection' Scans! [1/24]

I think the Axew with Signs of Evolution will probably be the play in a haxorus line if a good Haxorus card comes out.

    Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo-EX Discussion Thread

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX How do you think Sage's Training and Pokemon Collector fare in this deck?

    Landorus-Machamp

The more Rare Candies in the deck you have, the more likely you will see it in those first few turns. That's why it would be better to run 3 candies because you're going to want one early game and with 3 the chances are higher.

    (2) Full Art Reshiram-EX and Zekrom-EX in 'Next Destinies,' Luxio Promo; Gardevoir, Shiftry, and Sky

RE: (1) Gardevoir, Shiftry, and Skyarrow Bridge from 'Next Destinies' [1/17] Gardevoir could also help Chandelure, allowing him to access his attack to Confuse, which could have some benefit against EX, for only 2 energy instead of 3, but i doubt Chandelure decks will be able to find room for...

    Decks after the new format

Emboar will be a big player because it can pair with a multitude of different card. This will cause an increase in play for fire decks. I agree with Dark types becoming a great play. They're only worry will be Donphan really, so like you said in those areas with little Donphan, they'll be a...

Serperior + Reuniclus (Next Set) and Ability discussion

Serperior and Reuniclus sound great together, but it seems like it would require alot of setup. Perhaps in a slower format it'll be viable.

zoroark .. is it really broken ?

I think only testing will tell how well Zoroark performs. It's one of those cards that I think could go either way. It sounds really good on paper, but in some scenarios it won't help at all. I'm not entirely sure those situations which he is helpful in will bring about play.

Double Colourless Energy - Should it stay?

I usually keep two decks set-up all the time, especially around tournament time. I keep a Sablelock and a Lostgar/Vilegar set up. I have a few decks that have a ton of proxies for testing, especially when it comes to SP, but decks that aren't consider metagame I usually just keep a list on my...

    BW cards that have potential

Mismagius takes advantage of the trainers that will be clogged in your opponent's hand. With Vileplume on your bench, Gothitelle's advantage of allowing you to use trainers is gone. Gyarados and Machamp will be rotated out soon most likely, so Reshiram's major problems won't be around for too...

    BW cards that have potential

I don't thing Beartic and Dugtrio will be great together. Too much bench space required to be effective.

    BW cards that have potential

The prerelease isn't competitive play though. Many cards can be good at the prerelease while they aren't good anywhere else.
