Leaf Tornado

Basic Strategy: Use Celebi Prime to attach extra energy to Tornadus, Mewtwo EX, or Regigigas EX to achieve large early game damage or a Donk. Tornadus should be used for the first few turns, while charging up a Mewtwo EX to use for mid-late game. Shaymin EX will be your finisher/revenger, and will help get you out of normally un-winnable situations.

Pokémon(11):
4 Celebi Prime

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Your list resembles mine so much o_O

I personally like a single Shaymin UL in this deck. I've had times where the Energy movement (DCE from Tornadus to Mewtwo) get me the KO, and can keep the Energy alive on the field. EXP Share can also be helpful in that case.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

I don't like the 4 N. I can understand wanting early-game disruption in a rush deck, but I feel like Judge would be better suited for that. I think Pokegear is a staple in any deck without Magnezone or Vileplume.

Other than that, it looks solid. I'd also like to see Shaymin listed under the techs.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Yeah, that's just a skeleton though, not my actual list. Shaymin is just a 2nd bad starter imo. PMed about EXP share.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

How do you think Sage's Training and Pokemon Collector fare in this deck?

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Just fine. I plan on using Pokémon Collector, and you can use Sage if you prefer to.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

I also found N to be less than useful. I'd rather have had Sage's Training most times, but it's still a good inclusion, just not 4 of. I'd also rather have a 3rd Mewtwo than Regigigas, it's not as useful as Tornadus in my opinion.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

EXP share seems like it would help conserve energy. I also think Terrakion w/ Prisms would be a good idea, Eelzone can beat this deck very fast w/ Catchers, or so it seems to me (Catcher Tornadus, Magnepwn EXes, immunity to N, also pretty fast w/ Thundurus/Zekrom, ectra).

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Pokemon Collector is bad in here, because you need to use one of your other draw supporters T1

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Henry, your list has 57 cards. I tried to build it and spent 10 minutes trying to figure out what I left out.

I don't like Sage in an all-basic deck. It's best in Stage 2 decks where you need Candy+Stage 2 in the same hand.

Then what other supporter should I use? I don't want to run more than maybe 2 N and I already have 4 Juniper and 4 Prof. Oak. Maybe Cheren?

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Judge is great for disruption, and with Random Receiver/Pokegear, you only need 9-10 draw supporters.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Hm, that's a good idea. I'm thinking 4 Juniper, 4 Oak, 2 N, and swapping out for another Pokegear.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Why Pokegear instead of Random Receiver when you only have draw support Supporters? 4 N is way to much, even if you want disruption. At maximum 3, but 2 would be a better number. I think Cheren would go nicely in this deck, or even Bianca when you have maxed Juniper. It's very useful in this deck, you end up using almost all of your hand. Also, I think at least 1 Terrakion is necessary, but Fighting instead of Prism. Fighting can't be Lost Removed, and it's not like your ever going to attack with Celebi.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Terrakion is placed as a tech, but I agree it should be part of the list.

Edit: Actually, maybe not. The extra energy type is annoying.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Terrakion id definitely a tech. 4 Juniper, 4 PONT, 4 N is what is being run in Japan, and from what I've tested it works perfectly. Cheren really doesn't help, you need a whole new hand T1 every game to get a T1 Tornadus.

I hate Bianca because it doesn't allow you to play conservatively. You don't always burn every hand, so it's too situational.

Random Receiver will definitely be the play if it's confirmed. For all we know right now, it will get held back.

RE: "Leaf Tornado" Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX

Yeah, I thought Random Receiver was like Xtransciever for some reason with a flip. Since it's not, I say definitely run it. Most times, it won't matter what supporter you get.
