“Destined Rivals” Booster Pack Artwork Confirms Sets to Feature Team Rocket!

When does new sets typically become available on the pokemoncenter site? I want to actually be ready for this one.
 
This is still so odd to me. Why focus on just team rocket? And yeah, I know the answer is because people can't get out of the 90's, but wouldn't it be much cooler and more grand to have a set or two featuring all the teams? Ghetsis' Cofagrigus, Cyrus' Crobat, Guzma's Golisopod, Roses' Copperajah, Lysandre's Pyroar, Archie's Sharpedo, Maxie's Camerupt...instead we're getting the 30th mewtwo in 10 years. I just don't get the logic. It's not like they'd make less money...
 
Let’s not discount Jessie, James, and Meowth just yet. There might be a Jessie & James Meowth IR and a Giovanni Persian IR/SIR. That seems perfect to me

Even with scalpers going ballistic lately, playing the card game hasn't been any more difficult than earlier sets. In fact, expensive staples like Buddy Buddy, Prime Catcher, Earthen Vessel, Teal Ogrepon ex, have all bottomed out in price thanks to Prismatic Evo reprints, with rip-happy scalpers offloading them at bulk prices. Sure the Charizard ex deck helped drop Prime from 30 to 17, but it dropped to 4 after Prismatic! It is a great boon to your average player.

The group that damages EVERYONE are the "investors" who buy sealed product and then never rip them. They artificially deflate the entire supply-side with no positive impact. They do so on a desperate gambit to re-sell them years later when the cards are no longer relevant to the game itself. Pack-rippers, collectors, AND card players all suffer when "investors" purchase pokemon products.

It still seems wild to me that Prime Catcher didn't drop to 10 dollars at most when it was featured in a $30 structured deck.

In all seriousness, yeah, this would be a super cool idea. I was extremely disappointed by the lack of villain's Pokémon in sets after Dual Crisis (Team Flare didn't even get Pokémon representing them in its own generation!).
At the same time, I still wouldn't call Macro Cosmos a villainous team. The only reason the employees attack you is because of your own felonies... assault and battery, inciting a riot, breaking and entering... and as for Rose himself, he was more impatient than immoral, and when the massive amount of responsibility caught up to him, he took responsibility for the risks he'd inadvertently subjected the nation to and turned himself in to the police, something far worse characters have refused to do even when they've seen the error of their ways (And presumably breaking up his monopoly in the process). Was there corporate corruption? Yes, we've seen the Rotomi scam and the stolen Silvally data, but we don't know how high up the former goes, and the latter could just as easily be the result of Faba's deceit as of corporate espionage. But then again, Pokémon Masters EX canonically ranked him among the villainous team leaders instead of Piers (Albeit a version of him from an alternate dimension), so I guess that was still what the game developers were going for. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sadly there is a massive amount of people thatd say no to that. Like people already foaming at the mouth because of no Misty pokemon ex, or Jessie James in here. Despite these trainers being in the tcg not so long ago. Like 151 made 0 sense but they they have to throw a bone to boomers every now and then to keep them hooked
 
Wow team Rocket will be in this set? We definitely didn't already know that and are just now hearing this for the first time
 
Got dang this year is stacked for the TCG. I really hope the scalping drops by the time the BW special set comes out because if they do put in the SEA exclusive Victini ex SR and SARs in this set then I need it.
 
The main question that remains now is who will be featured in the ETB? Will there be one for TR and another for Cynthia?

Jessi/James are almost always treated as a anime character. These card sets seem to follow the games (blue/red not yellow timeline). Jessi and James on the very first card set were also just a gimmick. Could be the reason.
