Oh so it is just 4 pack artworks, not 5.
Weird about the prerelease promos. Really hope they're just placeholders.

18 pack booster boxes! Maybe this will be better for scalping?

Then you look at Paldea evolved and it has a bunch more. They have not changed things for IRs and SIRs the entire SV block, if you look at japanese sets its extremely consistent(they change very slightly with supporters SIRS, but thats about it). If anything it might be less illustrations nowadays because 1st year 3 out of the 4 main sets were dual sets which result in more illustration cardsTPCi are clearly including a higher proportion of special illustrations in their expansions compared to earlier in scarlet and violet. If you have a look S&V base for example, just 32 cards were IR or SIR. But now “More than 45 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations”. I dunno, kind of interesting to me. Also, “More than 20 Trainer cards”. This doesn’t seem a lot compared to S&V 32 trainer cards. I have a strong hope that we get a new version (but mechanically the same) of Arven like we got of Judge.
Based on the blister promo numbers, it doesn't seem like they're placeholders.Oh so it is just 4 pack artworks, not 5.

There are only 8 promo slots unnanounced. The pre-release cards not being part of the SV promo set is weird. Can they really fill ~25 more promo slots (Illustration contest Toxitricity being no. 215, Hop's Snorlax was no.185, with only Worlds Pikachu no.190, Horizons Sprigatito no.191and Horizons Fuecoco no.192 filling the gaps) before the Mega sets arrive?
I guess you would just cut the Mew ex huh. I kinda like the drawing though. If that Mimikyu is straight up use one of your opponents pokemons attacks that's absolutely cracked for Gardevoir
