“Journey Together” English Pokemon TCG Set Releasing in March, Features Return of Owner’s Pokemon!

Why is Rocket likely to be SV9b? For the past three years April has been the month for main set releases and June has been the month for side set releases.
If Rocket is SV10 then White Flare/Black Bolt would be SV10a but I don't think we ever had a double subset. It would make more sense for them to be SV10, which would mean Rocket being SV9b.

If we had anything like that it would be under Green. Which I have a feeling they would do something with them again as they did before.
It was only green because Let's Go came out that time. With any luck we'll never have any references to it ever again

Actually, it would be Red's Venusaur, Blue's Charizard, and Green's Blastoise. If you know, you know
Manga isn't real

Fair enough, either way it's a bit odd. Since the start of the SwSh era, expansion releases have been pretty strictly one main set followed by one subset. The only exceptions are Go and 25th anniversary, which makes sense given those are tie-ins to the rest of the franchise that got unique treatment compared to other sets. So I'm not really sure why they'd deviate here. It also has an empty month following its release which is a shared trait among all of the SV main sets and none of the SV subsets.

Not to mention Rocket is three months after Battle Partners, which has been the gap between almost every main set for the last decade. Four months is rare. Five months is unheard of.

In that case, Japanese Cosmic Eclipse ALREADY made ful arts of Red with Bulbasaur, Blue with Charmander, and Green with Squirtle. There was also a Red with Pikachu, and Blue (Gary) with Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon. Time will tell, but I believe there's a higher chance for Red's Venusaur ex, Green's Blastoise ex, etc, over Red's Charizard etc.

Celebrations was an "a" subset, VMAX Climax was the "b".

I can't find these. Which cards are you talking about?
Red's Challenge
Green's Tactics
Blue's Expedition

mind you, even if these fullarts didn't exist, all other card arts from this era consistently feature Red with the leaf patch. also while pulling these links up i was reminded how embarrassing it is that they had to release a card called "Red & Blue" with art that looks like this, all because the game side of things didn't fix the localization back when they had the chance. (or more specifically, fixed it in FRLG and then un-fixed it in HGSS)

Yeah but they're not Owner's Pokemon so they don't count

Out of curiosity, as I'm not entirely familiar with precedent (or if there is one), with Steven's Metagross ex being part of a starter deck, is it possible it receives an SIR in the main set? Or is this highly unlikely?
