(1) A New Forme of Mewtwo Revealed for the 16th Movie? [4/3]

I for one like this, as long as it's "Mewthree" instead of one of these pointless new forms. I wasn't a huge fan of the design myself until I saw the picture that someone posted on here a while back. It was a sketch of the entire body. Looked really cool. It just appears to be very odd looking due to the angle that it is drawn in, and I'm sure everyone will like it much more when/if it is released and we see more pictures of it.

idk... They're taking my (and many others) favorite Pokemon and altering the way it looks, on top of that I've yet to see a picture of this Pokemon that makes me go "wow this thing is cool!" If this does turn out to be legit then I'd have to say that it's the worst 6th gen design so far and it's ruining my favorite Pokemon too. So yeah I don't like this one bit. :(

Its not really ruining the original Mewtwo. He is still there. Unless the form change increases his stats (im guessing its just going to change distribution), then he is still the same ol' guy with a new form. The thing about forms is, you can ignore them and pretend they dont exist because they are not usually permanent :p

a couple of fanart that makes it seem a little better

Those look nice. As Xous said, I'm sure we'll all like it once we see its clean Sugimori artwork.

Well there was bound to be one design I hated. Good God it looks disgusting.
I liked the design of Mewtwo. It matched up with its pokedex entry being the subject of "horrific gene splicing experiments". It was a freak. It looked bony and fleshy and creepy because it was essentially a test tube baby. This looks too perfect and it better have a good reason for looking as smooth as Porygon-2. Another well designed Pokemon because it was literally an upgrade to the sharp cornered Porygon.

Well its all about his DNA, its effed up, if someone where to tamper with it, improve it, then of course he would be more advanced and streamlined, ala Porygon-2. His genetic pool as a deformation of mew, the pokemon who can alter itself into any other pokemon it wants, is open to many alterations that quite possibly could take effect rapidly.

I like the fanart,Starting to grow on me.Its just that one picture where its head is turned and looks all weird.

you guys keep using that word, "ruining" I don't think that word means what you think it means, what is so ruined?

Exactly! People have been asking, "What reason is there for Mewtwo to change?"

What people don't realize is that Mew can transform into any Pokemon. Since Mewtwo is a clone of Mew, there's no reason Mewtwo shouldn't be able to discover how to also change shape using a similar genetic process as Mew does to transform its shape.

Besides, if you really don't like the form (if it turns out to be real), don't use it!

Oh yeah,Thats right. That explanation works perfectly.

It would be pretty difficult to create another Mew number when Mewtwo became self-aware and destroyed everything. If this 'Mewthree' were to be stronger than Mewtwo then it will take a lot of convincing to make me understand why it hasn't realized its own potential and turned against humans. If it doesn't do this then it can't be stronger or smarter than Mewtwo making the whole concept of the Pokemon pointless.

I doubt they were taking looks into account when designing the strongest Pokemon. Porygon-2 was designed to be a graphical upgrade since the link to graphics is in its name: Polygons. It's a natural evolution. The next step in the Mew line would be to make it stronger right? Nowhere does it say Mewtwo was as strong as it could have been before it broke out. Aesthetics doesn't really sound like a priority in creating something incredibly strong. Intimidation perhaps but people in the Pokemon universe seem to find any sort of criminal gang scary so why they would need to make it look cool or terrifying is beyond me.

This is assuming Mewthree is man-made. If not then these points are more or less moot.

tl;dr: Why make it look cool when you can make it stronger?

That helps easy the pain a bit I guess, but I still don't like the idea of them taking down original pokemon and altering them like that (unless they plan on giving Arcanine an evolution or something like that :p ). However I might end up really liking this new mew-form as long as they don't make it something stupid like with keldeo, who knows?

They aren't "altering" anything.

Mewtwo will still be the same Mewtwo unless you want to use the form or whatever that poster picture is. :)

I actually am growing on the new form as it looks more like an evolution of mew as opposed to Team Rocket's creation, What bothered me I guess is the lack of detail (notice that the body, at least in the fanart, is just complete pink) It bores me. But now I see it as an unaltered, pure version of mewtwo.

Quick question
What time does Pokemon smash air? And is it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow?
Depends on where you live. It comes on at 5PM Saturday for me since I live in the central time zone.
