(1) All 'Black' and 'White Collection' Scans and Translations! [12/16]

Great cards, i like Pikachu, Meguroko and Chillarmy. I saw the 6th car on the 7th row before, one of the rajin trio. I'm not sure if anyone was interested though. Most of the cards are great.

Pokemon Catcher: Choose one of your Opponent's Benched Pokemon and switch it with the Defending Pokemon.

That sounds so Gust of Wind reprint...

nearly or word-for-word reprints: (why can't they keep the old name so I can use my older versions!)
Pokemon Catcher=gust of wind
Professor Araragi=Professor oak
Crush hammer=energy removal 2
Ranculus=base set alakazam

Also,
Tsunbear: total lockdown for anything that can't retreat. take that wailord!
Buffalon: 90 revenge damage on a basic!
Revive=so awesome I can hardly believe it.
Cheren gives bill and mom's kindness the middle finger. (can I say that on pokebeach?!)

We actually have a basic draw Supporter card that doesn't get you two cards. But it still sucks either way though. The new Legendary "thing"... the cards suck, and so does the artwork. Not really much holo, ugh.

Pokemon Catcher should be renamed Gust of Wind, and Crush Hammer isn't too bad either. But Gochizeru (Goth Girl), despite being a Trainer lock when Active that doesn't effect you, it's attack isn't good enough to deal with Gochizeru's Body. I'm not seeing play in it.

Now for Revive. To be honest, I'd rather run Pokemon Rescue (if it's still legal) since it can also get me the Stage-1/2/Lv.X/LEGEND. If I wanted to pickup a Basic to put it onto my Bench, then I would probably have the Bench space open.

Hmmmm....Seems like a nice set. There's a lot of cards here that have potential. My favourite card just now would have to be Daikenki (Donphan Prime's Body + Able to exploit Rain Dance for heavy damage + Nice 140hp = Some kind of awesome)

Hello everyone. This is my first post! :D

Question:

The holo's in the set seem to be in a promo form, is that the final version of them?

Waruvial seems pretty neat, and Gothruzelle seems fantastic.

Zuruzukin might be a fun option, too.

Hmm the reprints look like legends, but they aren't and there is nothing that is a prime or a legend or anything that seems to be of a similar nature.

I'm okay with this, actually.

Also to be honest I have to say Tsunbear is the most horrifying thing to come out of this set.

This set is looking awesome.:) I don't if it is a good thing that we're getting somewhat broken cards or a bad thing. All of the Stage two starter pokemon are really good and playable. All the abillitys on the pokemon are really good. I could make this post alot longer if I mentioned all the cards that I think are good, but I'll keep it short.
All and all I think it will be a very good set, and oh yeah....Buffalon....best....attack name....EVER, AFRO BREAK FTW!:D

@Jelze What are you talking about? There are "prime" cards. They have a fancy border. Thats pretty much all primes are anyway.

It seems like the TCG is going to get a fresh, new start. This seems very healthy for the game. Hopefully they change other things too, such as advertising leagues more and having more tournaments yearly.

So if we get the set before the next retirement, magical damage swap is possible in modified format!

For anyone who doesn't know what that is, you move damage to unown Q, attach Q to remove the damage, and use mismagius GL to pick up the tool. And repeat for all of your damage.

@amisheskimoninja: most rare fully evolved or legendary cards have that border, I think there are 12 in total. Surely they are just rare holos and not the new ultra rares

Also the reprints fit the bill for ultra rares, there are only 4 of them, but they are nothing special or different just the same as the normal cards with different art.

Wait, they're reprinting Gust of Wind? Word for word? I'm very excited. It is going to be very very good. Are there going to be more in depth translations?

I'm not really getting the whole special art reprints. What's the point? why not just add more pokemon from the B/W era? that would be alot better than those cards which are hardly playable (apart from maybe, Torneros, but it' still pretty meh)

All 3 of the starters final evo's are IMO some of the best cards from this set. Daikenki and Enbuoh especially. Daikenki can reduce all damage it takes which is great with its 140HP, can abuse DCE and it's base attack can already deal 70 base damage, but even with 1 {W} energy it's already doing 90 damage. The 3 energy cost can be a bit troublesome but with a starter like Spiritomb AR mixed in with a few Twins/Black belt w/a 1-1-1 Gatr prime tech, you've got yourself a real beast. Enbuoh has basically got a {R} rain daince ability which can be attached to any pokemon (might be the support Deoxys/Rayquaza Legend has been looking for, who knows?)

Jalorda will probably see the most play out of all the starters seeing as it can do 60 for for {G}{C} and its healing ability can stack (hopefully). I hope when it gets printed in english its attack get changed to "YOU MAY" so that you you aren't forced to rearrange the energy (unless i'm reading it wrong). I was hoping Gothruzelle would have a more solid attack so that it could deal some decent damage while constantly locking trainers. To bad we don't have something similar to that of Gardevoir R/S or at least DRE, maybe in the next set eh?
