(1) BW Promos 20-24: Starter Evolutions, Reshiram, Zekrom [9/29]

The artwork looks amazing on those. Its too bad they chose to reprint the bad starters, but oh well.

Haha, I love it when they print the bad version of things, it just goes to show how much they love their players. I am excited about this for the most part though, because the art on that Reshiram deserves a trophy.

I love how the "Illus." credit hasn't been updated yet.

Lovin' the art, though!

They do love their players-they just care more about their money than their happiness. By printing bad cards as promos, the good ones rise in value online, so more people will just buy packs and hope to get lucky, therefore paying PUSA not an online site.

^which is kinda stupid cuz, in the past, they reprinted some useful/high valuable cards into promo tins (eg: Garchomp C Lv.X)... By the style of the artwork, I was really expecting the good ones...

The cards look pretty cool but why reprints of the same card that was already released? They could have made all new promo cards that were completely new but with the same Pokemon. Weird but a waste of cards they could have made new XD. If you think about it though they are wasting money on every reprint the make. The should make all promos unlimited so that way they don't waste so much money reprinting as promos and what not. The stamp does not make a difference XD.:)

this stinks to high heaven. Especially if you look @ japan.. We get garchomp c X in a tin. They get it in a theme deck along with charizard g lv X. Our Arceus decks have 1 Arceus, theirs has 2 and a lvX. They get bad muskateers in kid decks, we get them as set holos. They get catchers in theme decks, we get to pay $7 a piece online for catchers. -_- not to mention all the good cards in emerging powers were supposed to be in the first black and white set anyways.

I'm venting a lot since the HS tins had the primes as the tin holos instead of the theme deck ones. Which is exactly what happened here.

I think we need to boycott. No scholarships, horrible sets. 2 filler sets within a calendar year, non playable trophy cards. Something needs to change. And if we keep buying packs, they'll keep squeezing more money out of us.

on topic edit: the cards look better than their ability counterparts, but worse than the non ability ones they're replacing.

I lol'd. If you don't want the promos, you don't need to buy them. I should remind you of some past events. Remember Toxicroak G Promo? That card went for far more than it should have due to the limited supply of the books that it came with. Remember Umbreon * and Espeon *? While neither were amazing, both saw some play. They came out of POP packs in English, and came as really high ranked player rewards in Japan. The cost of the Japanese versions of the cards was (and still is) INSANE. The cards were uber valuable. The English ones were also fairly valuable.

Boycotting? LOL. They really don't care about what we do. Enough people will continue to buy the cards that they will take little notice to your boycott. If you really don't like the decisions, quit playing. Nothing is keeping you here. Do not organize others. If there is a real reason to be angry, other players will share sentiments.

I'd continue typing, but eh. I've gotta work. The reshiram and Zekrom are beautiful ;D I've got the Japanese versions (plus what they come in), and I may have to get the English versions as well.

Reshiram and Zekrom do look amazing. Thank God for CGI.

At least there's one thing that's positive in the update. _-_

dmaster out.

5th time I'll have something with that Reshiram/Zekrom art on, it kind of starting to get old. (Although I suppose it's partly my fault for getting the Japanese cases with it on and the same promos)

As for the case of Reshiram and Zekrom, those two are really good cards and require 4 ofs in their respective decks so putting them in those packages is good for the community and for the business. As for the trio starters, I honestly have no defense as to why they reprinted the crap version.

I had really assumed they would reprint the good version for the tin. It used to be that they'd give you a level X or a Prime, now you just get a sucky rare.

It's terribly disappointing that they made a tin that probably only noobs will buy. Oh well, let's hope for the best for the next ones. And the new Reshiram/Zekrom look amazing. I'm gonna add a few of the new artwork ones if I don't have enough Full Arts by then.

Oh, thanks for the pictures, Nintendo. Enjoy having collectors be doomed to try to get their hands on those worthless pieces of cardboard. =/

Also, as awesome (which ironically is what the cards portray) the art is, I feel that TCG art has looks their glimmer as evidenced in this reprint. When you have digital tools to have the quality of the art to be higher, don't just go for the cool effects. That just makes it generic and dull when repeated for the last few sets.

20 bucks!?? jeez, havnt payed that much for a tin since i got the Torterra. Infernape and Empoleon tins a while back in the Diamond/Pearl era! This sucks - L -
