(1) Cobalion-EX from ‘Plasma Gale’ Revealed! [9/8]

Hm. Not too bad. I like the idea of EXs that can attack turn 1, even if damage output is low. Plus dat effect....

Hopefully Virizion will be just as awesome :)

Plus that second attack is something we need more of. After Spokane Valley's Battle Road today, I'm really starting to get sick of Eviolite.

Worth noting that it isn't a Plasma card... Thought we might get an attack that does more against Plasma Pokemon, Justice Strike or something...

Ohwait.
I just realized: this thing has a use: It kills Sigilyph so badly. It's actually a really good counter to darkdreigon if used in klingklang.

The artwork is really nice! This make me really tempted to buy a Plasma Gale Booster box, I hope the last EX isn't a lame legendary (like the Sinnoh pixie trio). Oh, and I want a Ghetsis fullart xD

Am I the only one that thinks that that could be playable? >_>

The card is very playable the only thing stopping a steel centric deck from being good was a solid attacker.

Registeel was "ok" but he will take a back seat to this bad boy combined with a split Klingklang line (between the Shift gear and Plasma Steel) you have a Pokemon that two shots every Pokemon in the game ignoring any other effect other than Max Potion while being able to use it's own energy shift max potion strategy.

I like Cobalion EX. Even if the non-EX was better it has some uses. Its artwork is really nice. It might be playable in Klinklang decks eventhough I prefer tanking with Registeel EX.

And finally we have a Pokemon that is NOT a Plasma Pokemon. That makes...so far one card that I want to get from this set.

I too hope the EX of this set is Virizion. Then we'll have a full musketeer trio set. Of course if want to talk full sets here we still need Suicune EX.

Maybe it's just me but personally I don't think trainer cards should be made into full arts, though we have three card to prove that Nintendo wouldn't agree.

Ew, I'd rather play Giratina-EX. >_<

with dragon weakness, 'less than friendly' energy demands and 10 less damage?

cobalion can also attack turn one and has more than one use (discarding those blend energies for example, which most giratina players rely on). yes, you can use hydreigon to shift the energy straight to giratina, but cobalion has the advantage of using the basic energy from klingklang, as well as any special energy in play.

giratina just seems under-powered now we have cobalion

Totally agree. I was going to say that.
